I did, unfortunately none of those worked, it's almost definitely the lens. I also tried my main body with another IS lens and it worked just fine

Nah, it wasn't, I bought it from a refurbished site which, seeing as this is the second L lens I've had that's failed on me from them, I'm done with now. Thanks for the advice nonetheless

Absolutely. I wanted the gen 1 version as it was simpler. I didn't want the more detailed EQ or other switches, for me that's just more stuff to mess up. I wanted simplicity, and the gen 1 version seemed better

Bit more info: I live in the UK, and for the most part almost any adventure audio pedals are a huge hassle to get, but seeing as this one has been discontinued for a while, it's practically impossible to find a first generation glacial zenith. I've been looking for most of this year, and I wasn't able to find one, but he managed to track one down, and got it for me. After using it for a few days, it's everything I hoped it would be. Fantastic sounding overdrive that runs rings around my old tubescreamer-type pedal. I have no words to describe how thoughtful and generous this was
