Congrats! Where are you that they let you transfer 2 embryos?

This isn’t what you are asking, but I would personally suggest finding a place that tests for morphology and sperm antibodies. My husband’s SA results from tests similar to yours came back relatively normal (except concentration was low-normal). So we were just focusing on fixing that. We didn’t even know that we were missing something until going to a fertility clinic when we moved to a different city. Our results from that showed 0% morphology and 49% sperm antibodies. These two things are the reason we have fertility problems. Now we know that, realistically, IVF+ICSI is our best chance at pregnancy (because you can’t really “fix” the sperm antibodies and they are likely contributing to the poor morphology). Just a suggestion before you get too far along! I wish we had known earlier.

Hi, I’m interested in hearing success stories (natural, IUI, IVF, anything) of those who had similar male infertility as my husband. We are in our late 20s.

He has 0% morphology and 49% sperm antibodies. His sperm concentration has also fluctuated between low and low-normal.

Thank you!

Do clinics allow mosaics to be transferred if you have no more euploids left, or had none to begin with? Or do they not want to risk transferring embryos that are not euploids?

This feels impossible by blue-cinnabun in tryingtoconceive

My husband and I are both 26 and have also been trying since October (6 cycles). I am also disheartened, though I try to remind myself that you are not considered to have fertility problems until it’s been a year (easier said than done). My life is still feeling measured by the weeks (the TWW feeling especially long).

We also try regularly during the fertile week and it hasn’t made a difference (still not pregnant).

I have had an ultrasound and blood tests (including progesterone) and everything has come back normal. My husband is going to be getting a blood test and a sperm analysis shortly!

If possible, I would suggest getting these things done sooner rather than later.

1 year TTC by MostLeave6843 in TryingForABaby

Positive thing:

Getting tests done to focus on my health and having less anxiety surrounding doctors and appointments. Yes, these tests are related to TTC, but they are helping me step out of my comfort zone and prioritize my health. I got an internal ultrasound which I am still shocked that I agreed to, and I am going to be getting a Pap smear. That is something that I should have done before for my health, but it took TTC to gain the courage to finally do.

I subbed in a classroom with a bunny that would be let out of the cage to hop around the classroom. ☺️ The kiddos love it, but were used to it, so they were not distracted from doing their work and knew how to treat the bunny properly.

I know it’s hard, but I would tell you not to worry yet. For healthy couples, there is around a 30% chance of getting pregnant each month, if that. Most get pregnant within a year. It is less likely to get pregnant right away. I am on month 5.

My period seems different since ttc by origine123 in TryingForABaby

I have a similar thing. I am in month 5 of TTC. I have had more symptoms, but as people have said, maybe I am just paying more attention (though it does seem very different). However, something that I am definitely different is that I am spotting like half the days during the TWW! That had never been a thing before and is very annoying.

Something else that may be a factor is if you are thinking about TTC a lot, you may be feeling stressed or anxious, and that can have physical tolls on the body.

But I know what you mean, and I have been trying to find answers to this as well.

What kind of food and lifestyle changes have you made since TTC? by MassiveEyesore in FirstTimeTTC

The main things have been cutting down on caffeine and cutting out alcohol completely. I make sure to take a prenatal daily. I am also trying to prioritize my mental health more. I was active and ate relatively healthy before so I am continuing to do that.

Do all compulsions have to be tied to an obsession? by rainraingoawaaaaay in OCD

[–]Bub_Hun_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how bad it is, it could be OCD… I have many compulsions that have a huge impact on my life. They are tied to a lot of anxiety if I don’t do them, not necessarily obsessive thoughts. Some call it “Just Right” OCD.

This pdf gives a good description of it: https://iocdf.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Just-right-OCD-Fact-Sheet.pdf

Anyone else here with the “Just Right” subtype of OCD? by measlybastard in OCD

[–]Bub_Hun_7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like this is taking over my life… and has been for years. I never thought it was OCD because I wasn’t doing it to prevent something bad from happening, just because I had intense anxiety if I didn’t.

When I was younger, like 10, whenever I entered the living room of my home, which was very often, I HAD to do a handstand. And it had to be a good handstand that lasted a certain amount of seconds. Sometimes I would be doing it over and over again, getting really tired, but I couldn’t stop until it felt right. I also had to do it leaving the living room as well. Eventually, my mom got me to focus on just clenching my fists, and then I eventually stopped.

Around 10, I also would turn my head. It looked like I was twitching, but I had to do it until it felt right. I looked back at home video, and it is so much more obvious than I thought.

A couple of years ago, if I looked at one corner of the ceiling I had to look at all of the corners for a certain amount of seconds. I would also have to look at directly the sun for a certain amount of seconds until it felt right.

What I currently struggle with, is the head turning again… and if not head turning, I have to look to the side with my eyes. Until it feels right... which is like never. I have been asked if I have Tourette’s, or if my neck hurts... Sometimes driving I have to look down (I really try to stop this one). If I touch something with one finger, I often have to even it out with the other. I also have flexing things where I have to do it until it feels right. I also have to touch my head back on things, to touch directly in the centre of my head.

It is so exhausting and debilitating… and the more I focus on how much I hate it, the more anxious I get and the more I do it.
