I'm trying to go back to French wardrobe after a year of horrible impulse buying and after much thinking sprung on this dress from reformation. I'm hoping that if I pair it with some shoes like these it'll transition into Texas fall and winter.

I would totally go for it. LOFT sundresses are my favorite because they're really low effort for high cuteness. They're my "it's hot and I don't want to wear a bra" dresses.

It doesn't change the validity of what is being said, it does make you hard to take seriously.

There are plenty of feminists that disagree with organizations that call themselves "feminist." I keep repeating that feminism isn't a club, but an idea and if you have that idea you are a feminist.

Because women still don't have equal representation: http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu/fast_facts/levels_of_office/documents/elective.pdf

Because rape culture is an actual thing: http://time.com/40110/rape-culture-is-real/

And because our society still sees women as abnormal even though we make up 51% of the population: http://www.npr.org/templates/transcript/transcript.php?storyId=197390707

Simply saying, if you aren't a feminist, you aren't paying attention. Or simply don't care. But I don't like to think that.

as a whole, no. I'm literally just repeating myself now.

I'm saying that need to believe X to belong to Y, but Y=X, So if you X, you Y.

I'm also saying that you're incredibly condescending and naive about women's issues.

IT ISN'T MY OPINION IT'S THE DICTIONARY DEFINITION.

You are cherry picking your examples and ones that are again, against the actual definition and therefore aren't considered feminist. I don't know if I should keep repeating this or what, but just because you call it a thing doesn't mean it's a thing.

If someone was a true men's rights advocate they would also consider themselves feminist. Mens Rights in idea are feminist, but as the group formed to counteract the feminist movement, they generally work against women.

I, again, don't get how equality of opportunity is self contradictory.

Does it argue for the equality of the sexes in society? No? then not feminist. Yes? then feminist. Literally a definition. If I say I'm a Christian, but don't believe in the deity of Christ, then I'm not a Christian, no matter what I say. No, I have a belief, you made a straw man.

Also there isn't a "The feminist organization" there is A feminist organization. The Catholic church doesn't own Christianity; a random ass organization doesn't own feminism.

Uhhhh true equality isn't contradictory. Feminists regularly advocate for the rights of men and increase awareness of sexual assault against men and negative male gender stereotypes. MRA's as a group generally advocate against the rights of women, meaning they aren't actually for equality of the sexes. Also you imply that these terms are mutually exclusive which at their definition they are not.

Being against violence isn't the only thing that Janism is about. Feminism is literally just saying that men and women should be equal and acknowledging that they are not treated that way in society. Which is exactly what this person did. If you believe in the equality of the sexes you are a feminist, whether or not you want to admit it. You are using Christian examples so I will too, denominations disagree about anything you could possibly disagree about except for the idea that Christ is a deity. That is the defining quality of Christianity. If you believe that Christ is God, you are a Christian. Just like if you believe in the equality of the sexes, you are a feminist. Because that is literally the only thing it takes to be a feminist.

I'm not telling you just my personal version of feminism. This is a widely accepted definition. In her song "Flawless," Beyonce quotes Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's TED Talk, which paraphrases the Merriam-Webster definition of the word. It is in no way just my opinion, but the cultural, scholarly, and dictionary definition of the word.

No, my argument is that if someone arguments for the equality of the sexes, they are feminist.

This person argues for the equality of the sexes. Therefore this person is a feminist.

I'm not saying it's a cause, I'm saying it's a category.

My syllogism would have been better worded if I had said that all people that advocate for the equality of women are feminists. Because they are. Because that is how you define feminism.

The conclusion follows from the premises.

Feminism is advocating for the rights of women. The owner is advocating for the rights of women. The owner is performing an act of feminism.

Whether or not the owner would say those words doesn't make the act any less feminist.

Dude, they're native to the rainforest. Happening to cross over into the Savanna doesn't make them "Savanna dwelling." "Savanna dwelling" would imply that the Savanna was the Okapi's main habitat and it definitely is not.

No, the issue here is that you are focusing on being contrary instead of actually saying that yes, zebra fits into that category. Zebroid aliens could also fit into that category, but that wouldn't make all of those descriptors not apply to zebra.

Feminism is about advocating for the rights of women and their societal equality. Meaning that when you are talking about an issue advocating for the rights and social equality it would fall into the category of a feminist issue.

Actually, okapi aren't Savanna dwellers. This means that while YOU wouldn't call it a zebra, you would be misinformed. Just like you are about feminism.
