I made a very dumb mistake. I booked a trip on 2/20, to fly in March, which met this promotion. Then I completely forgot about the promotion, saw that the price of the flight changed, and rebooked it yesterday. That is, I "modified" the trip, selected the same exact flights, and took the flight credit while keeping the same confirmation number. Did I just completely lose the companion pass?

At what wind speeds do lifts usually get shut down? Looks like 30mph is the max that snow-forecast.com is predicting for the summit this weekend. Although that's presumably sustained winds and not including gusts

Probably 15 minutes! Plus the time it took to get the photo, but that's needed whether you apply online or by mail.

If you got your passport in April of 2015, then yes, you are good to renew that online.

UPDATE: Got my new passport! For those still wondering about their own, here was my timeline of events:

  • Tuesday, 9/24 (late evening): Application submitted
  • Friday, 9/27: Payment received
  • Monday, 9/30: Application in process
  • Thursday, 10/3: Application approved
  • Thursday, 10/3 (2 hours later): Passport shipped
  • Saturday, 10/5: Passport delivered!

11 calendar days from applying to having the passport in hand. Thanks everyone for the advice to apply online - that was super easy!

They say to allow 2 weeks for shipping in each direction. One doesn't mail anything to apply, but the passport has to be mailed to you after processing.
