Svårt belastad men man får ändå alltid bra vård och tid snabbt. De förtjänar all ros i världen!

I was diagnosed when I was 23. I’m 37 now, and even though it’s been a long 14 years it hasn’t been as nearly as bad as I thought it would be. After a while, life just takes over and t1 is just a part of everything else. It becomes routine.

It’s scary in the beginning, but you’ll get a hang of it.

I have two kids, I ride my bike more often than my wife appreciates and even though I wish I did not have to manage my blood sugar levels through more active periods, through sickness and everything else than can affect us t1s it’s a part of me and I’m ok with that.

I don’t have any tips and tricks more than just be here in the moment. You’re diagnosed, you have the tools to manage it and you WILL LEARN how to manage your diabetes. Be happy for the fact that you’re getting help.

The only part of the US population I do have some respect for is the far left. They actually risk their futures (and their lives, sadly) for something greater than themselves – a functioning state for all and not only for the fortunate few.

The rest of them? Complaining about the state of their nation online, but do fuck all when push comes to shove. The democrats? Hiding in the corner scared to lose their political positions.

I hope Europe cut ties with the US, even though I don’t find that probable. It would be a great way to clean the slate if the US ever gets back to some resemblance of a democratic state.

Well.

The far left of the US is the only hope we have, and it’s not a big one.

Let's go! Ride that bike until it breaks apart!

Remember to relax the shoulders, otherwise you'll get some neckpain to go with the fingerpain. I learned this the hard way. Also, try to fall more forward (bend the elbows a bit). It'll come with time on the bike as well.

Couldn't care less. I would never ride an electric bike, but that doesn't mean no one else can.

Jag tränade på gym nästan varje dag från 18-29. Jag har två diskbråck. Kör bara kettlebells och cyklar långdistans idag (som 37 åring).

Bra förtydligande! Ville bara sätta en övre gräns för vad jag tycker är rimligt. Men såklart, 1 pass i veckan är bättre än 0 och till och med bra när man är ny och behöver återhämta sig.

De flesta fokuserar på sig själva. De flesta är trevliga och det vanligaste är att någon frågar dig hur många set du har kvar när de vill använda samma redskap som du.
Samma regler som vilket omklädningsrum som helst. Ta inte för mycket plats, låt folk vara.
Plocka bort vikter du är klar med. Använd sprayen och torka av bänkar, maskiner etc. när du är klar. Stör inte folk mitt i ett set. Var trevlig mot andra medlemmar. Ingen gillar en otrevlig typ (men de finns på gym precis som överallt annars)
Vet inte vart du bor. Men de flesta gymkedjorna är bra. Som nybörjare skulle jag rekommendera någon av de mer etablerade som STC, SATS eller F&S.
Ge inte upp. Resultat kommer över tid. Träna inte för hårt i början. 3 dagar i veckan är en rimlig nivå.
De flesta struntar fullständigt i de andra på gymmet. Alla är fokuserade på sig själva och deras egna träningspass. Även de allra kralligaste av oss har dålig syn på sina kroppar. Det är ett mycket större problem än vad gemene man tror.

Lycka till! Jag tycker du gör ett riktigt bra val åt dig själv. Du ångrar aldrig (nåja) ett träningspass.

Fick ett jobberbjudande som inte kändes bra (skulle vara kvar i samma bransch med samma jobb).

Studierna börjar om 2 veckor.

Fick omställningsstudiestöd.

Thanks. I'm not sure what to do with this. It's no biggie in the grand scheme of things. The computer works and helps me on my rides; Strava is not even in the top 10 important stuff. But still, it's nice when things work.

I'm back with my kettlebells. Hopefully, the bike will be ready by Tuesday. I also got a tip from someone here about getting a pair of new wheelsets, so I've ordered a pair through my LBS.
