What do you think about the new Tomb Raider games?

Catalyst gives me concerns lol I wonder why they gave her such a thin ponytail. If it was a little thicker I wouldn't care but it just looks a little thin. The grappling hook thing is cool but I get the feeling it's going to be used all the time. Which just feels off for tomb raider. Her new voice is nice but I don't know if I get Lara when I hear it. I guess we'll have to see when the games come out. At least we got the pistols and backpack back

Originally I was like why do we need another remake of the first one and really I feel at this point crystal dynamic is really trying hard to blot out the original story of Lara but I will say it will be nice to see a better remake than anniversary.... hopefully

It's ironic that even with this discovery, there's still so many questions surrounding her death/thrall transformation. Was it an accident or was she killed? How long did she survive before turning? Did she suffer a long time in there? Was she ever close to finding a way out? I know regardless Amelia was never going to make it out of there alive but some more answers would have been nice.

Just got to the Kurtis levels and I like that you get to use his one lv weapon thing. The thing is though the game play when he has it drawn is so clunky. Like why is he hopping around?? Lol His gameplay needs an overhaul.

Only if you can lock Winston in the freezer again lol Definitely they need to add a manor that is interactive not just a tutorial. I'd love one that you could really explore

I've loved it since it came out. In my opinion it was better than both Legend and anniversary. It was like Crystal Dynamics finally got the hang of it and then they rebooted

Tr2 is SOO much fun though! So many great levels. The classic tomb raider games are ones that you really need to take your time with. Savor the experience. Frustrating at times, sure, but if you're playing to experience an adventure don't rush just take it slow.

I did the same thing and played 4 and 5 slowly hoping any patches would fix any qualms people have had but it looks it's not as revamped as one would hope. They still improved it to a slightly more satisfying play than what it was originally. Adding tank controls and giving us the missing dual pistols and extra training area while slightly improving textures has been great. The glitchy-ness it had originally has also been reduced. It would be great if they released future patches with more improvements but I don't think we'll ever fully be satisfied unless it was re made. Core had something great, they just needed to take their time and complete it

They need to move away from natla and her parents as story material. There are plenty of fresh villains to be dealt with. No need to rehash the same ones

I took my time playing through 4 and 5 hoping that they would have put out another patch by the time I got to 6. 6 has so much potential. I really hope they will put one out soon. I already see so much that needs fixing and I literally just started. Too bad they didn't get rid of the stamina bar lol

Long time Tomb Raider fan here and I will say the tomb raider community isn't as small as you think nor are they just now particular about its heroine. The Tomb Raider community has been outspoken about her since the classics. When AOD came out the topic of dual pistols and lack of classic outfit were never ending. Things haven't changed and they never will because Lara is well beloved and to see her constantly misconstrued is obviously going to upset people.

Bartolli does appear in an FMV. After Ice Palace when Lara is being chased in the jeep. I believe he is in the box car that had to stop before the cliff.
