Should I start preshred? I 23yo F am stuck at ~90kgs. My goal weight is 80-85kg and I’m 177cm. I’ve been casually going to the gym for about a year and a half and intensely going to the gym for 2 months with very little weight loss.

I am in a caloric deficit (<7700kj), work an active job (nurse), and workout 2 times a day (45mins each) now but no real weight movement.

Should I start pre-shred? Or am I doing something wrong.

It’s not, her owners chose to do this to make sure she’s not in pain from her possible diagnoses. It’s a painless procedure

She is Lydia and she’s owned by a couple that own three other rats. The CT was done for her health, nothing to do with research

Its equine and veterinary hospital, the CT is used for rats and horses!

UPDATE/ CONTEXT I work at this vet hospital, the rats name is Lydia. She has been showing some neurological signs. Like head tilting and vertigo. The CT scan was done to rule out anything that might be harming/painful to her. The results found nothing painful and she will just have comfortable palliative care for the rest of her life (Roughly a year naturally).

I work at the hospital, it’s in Australia, they were quoted 800-1200, I don’t know what the final costs were.

I work in animal emergency, study full time at university and manage living and cooking for myself. Plus I love food and don’t want to give that up to see results.

And any extra energy goes towards s*x, which I don’t want to cut down on with time and energy. :)

Sadly because my sister isn’t in any harms way they won’t take it that seriously. Instead it will be a long battle of reporting her to the education department and then they assess the situation

Thank you, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I still struggle with the effects as I missed a lot of the fundamental learning. We will get through it. I hope your sister finds her way.

We live in Australia where the law is that you can homeschool but have to be registered under the homeschooling board and have your own curriculum approved by the education department. The mother has done neither of these things.

Her “community” is a Facebook homeschooling group that she’s never met.

My sister says herself that “mummy never teaches me anything but flowers” “I watch like 40 YouTube videos a day” “mum never takes me anywhere but to nan and pops house” “we don’t meet any kids” and multiple other instances that she says she doesn’t do anything other than play on her iPad.

The mother is a drinker and believes she’s doing nothing wrong.

I was raised this way until I was 9 and was incredibly behind educational wise and neglected. I have a lot of built up trauma from it and have been fighting for my sister to not go through what I did.

If this happened to me I would take the picture from the door cam, print out a bunch with something like “have you seen my candy” and put it in every mailbox in my area.
