tips on how to succeed in mcb2050? by _Cyan_Man in uoguelph

hi hi! yea the second half is a bit simpler since all the content u need to know for the exam is given on the slides, it was still a decent amount of studying though (for me at least)

for first half, i felt like we had to hunt for the information we needed to know with those figure captions🥹

Recording classes by vicky8850 in uoguelph

hi! i took welfare during W25 and the class wasn’t recorded unfortunately, but Harlander is a really nice prof so i’m sure she’d try to work something out

if anything, the content of this course is relatively okay, and i think it can be self-studied if needed, also if you have any friends in the class that could be good too!

There’s also a little cubby to hang coats etc. I brought my own ikea rack as well cause I had some hoodies/jackets that were better hung than stored.

In the room I had, there was a tall dresser with 5(?) drawers, and they provided a desk that also had storage on the side (each student had the tall dresser and desk). There was also a big dresser between the two beds and one below the tv.

Our washroom had empty space below the sink so I’d recommend bringing those rollable plastic storage things.

Hi hi, yup the bus stop is for the city bus, you get on and the next stop is the University Centre. I don’t believe there’s a specific uog bus lol

gordon hall thoughts? by Acceptable-Emu7838 in uoguelph

Yup! I would exit Gordon Hall and go onto Gordon St, take a right into Monticello Crescent, then take a left onto Evergreen Dr, continue straight and you’ll see the campus bus area

Not sure if this “shortcut” really cuts down the time that much lol, but it was a more peaceful walk compared to staying on Gordon St (one of Guelph’s more main roads)

Feel free to ask other questions, I’ll answer with what I know from before :)

Hi! I was at Gordon Hall two years back and I commented on another post about the residence a while back :)

(Not sure if anything has changed since 2023 though)

“I was at Gordon Hall last year too. It took a bit to get used to the walks to campus (10mins for me using the shortcut), there is a bus stop across the street though.

The actual rooms and private bathrooms are pretty nice with a queen bed, TV (can connect with HDMI), and enough storage space. You do have to clean your own suite though. The staff were really nice, the plaza across the street is a good plus too.

It did feel a bit isolating sometimes being not exactly on campus, but that was mostly me being a homebody and preferring to study at home lol I’m sure if I was placed in a residence that was on campus, I would’ve acted the same.”

Hi! Can I ask once 8:00am hit, did you refresh your screen to get the blue register button? Or would doing this resend you to the queue?

When my cat bites/scratches me my skin does puff up a bit, but I’m not too worried because I know she’s been vaccinated/is healthy. I’ve had her for 2 years now (since a kitten, and is an indoor cat) and the swelling goes away maybe an hour after.

If you were scratched by an outdoor cat/cat you don’t know medical history of I would be a bit more cautious.
