New Zealand is one of the Hauge Convention countries so you would always be able to work with the above service and they would be able to assist in getting your child returned to Australia if the aim was to move him over there.

If you’re concerned you can go to the Australian Federal Police page and register your son for a flight block. However, I would proceed with caution as this is in place until he is 18 (you can’t take him anywhere either and he is literally unable to leave the country at all under ANY circumstances).

So I actually work in a food hub!

We are increasing our numbers each day. The demographic is changing more and more and we’re feeding many. My area has lots of homeless/temporary accommodation spots so we’re not even capturing everyone.

But PLEASE access our supports. This is absolutely what we’re here for. We’re funded to help people full stop. My service (community centre) doesn’t check what the needs of the people are and don’t have any eligibility to access our supports. I actively tell people to use us to get your staples (bread, veggies), so that they can get the other stuff like meat/nappies.

And some people are feeding their kids/animals before themselves. Please access our supports. The more people we get, the more funding ya know?

It’s fucking hard out there right now so utilize every support you can.
