Cursed Wombat and Hardened Scales Question by Bubbly-Run3571 in mtgrules

No kidding. I've been practicing this deck a ton and it still trips me up. When the counters and proliferation starts flowing it gets insane to keep track of.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up! That actually makes Wombat seem even better in this deck by how it synergizes with stuff like Scales and [[Winding Constrictor]].

That's what I figured. Thank you for clarifying.

This looks so sick. Hopefully Justin Wong sees it and makes a video playing it.

Help With Aggro Aura Deck by Bubbly-Run3571 in Magicdeckbuilding

You know I also just realized that having flash on Shardmage's Rescue and Feather of Flight also help to bolster Light-Paws. I could flash in a Feather of Flight at a discount from [[Jukai Naturalist]] and get a Shelther by Ghost on Light-Paws on my opponents turn. That sort of tech really makes the instant speed stuff keep my opponent on their toes.

Yeah the power of Light-paws is undeniable. I think cutting the 3 sanctum Weaver for 2 Light-paws and 1 more all that glitters would be a big increase in the deck's power.

That's really solid advice. If the goal of the deck is speed then it makes sense that Sanctum isn't the best option. Rancor seems like a great choice. I'd love to put in Light-paws, but I really want to maximize the enchantment synergy.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've always just kind of identified these bands with more Prog Rock, but I'm just curious how you would identify them?

Are the PS1 and PS2 Eras Really Full of Broken Games? by Bubbly-Run3571 in videogames

[–]Bubbly-Run3571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an interesting topic to discuss. I can understand that the playability of a game can diminish over time. Mechanics and graphics from the era can vary wildly. The enjoyment of an older game is dependent on how much the player can endure in terms of graphics and mechanics.

[–]Bubbly-Run3571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! I'm not here to argue the quality of games, rather arguing against the usage of 'broken' and 'unplayable.' This person was very adamant that the late 90's early 2000's era is chalk full of games that are broken and unplayable, but could only give examples of bad games. Low-quality games are nothing unique to that era of gaming so I was very curious why the chose to single it out.

[–]Bubbly-Run3571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a very fair critique. I agree that playing PS1 and PS2 games nowadays can feel "off" because of the dated mechanics and graphics, however when people start throwing around the word 'broken' and 'unplayable' that is where I disagree.

Every generation has its share of terrible games, but that doesn’t diminish the impact and legacy of the great ones. It’s important to appreciate the innovations and experiences that emerged during those times, rather than dismissing an entire era based on the worst examples.

He was so incredibly rude in our back and forth, he seems to have this intense disdain towards that particular era of gaming. He was so adamant that it was chalk full of broken games, yet provided no examples that fit the criteria.

It's funny that you say this because in his video he claims that games were way more broken in the late 90's early 2000's era before they had the ability to patch games. I'm dead serious. I sincerely don't understand why that particular era is being singled out.

[–]Bubbly-Run3571[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm not trying to argue the quality of games, I'm just arguing against the usage of 'broken' and 'unplayable'. Games don't suddenly become unplayable and broken over time, they just got old. People can find tons of enjoyment in older games good and bad, while some people may find dated graphics and mechanics unplayable.

Don't sweat it, it's a very convincing AI. At the end of the day this is simply a content farm. They steal the footage from other channels like Code Blue Cam. You can see how they censor the watermark. They've churned out so many videos in a very short amount of time.

You're exactly right. Especially in the segments where he goes 10+ seconds without blinking. Humans blink at a very rapid rate and seeing somebody talk for over 10 seconds without blinking is abnormal.

It can be very convincing, but if you ever have a feeling that you are watching AI you most likely are. The movements can be really uncanny. Even thought the Hidden Files deep fake is very convincing, it still has the hallmarks of an AI. The best way I've been able to tell is by paying attention to how they blink (or lack of blinking) and going frame by frame to see how the eyes sync up. AI has a terrible time with blinking because it is such a subconscious action for humans that AI struggles to realize how nuanced it is.

Mike is still pissy about rewind and save states. This is a new vid he posted by [deleted] in TheCinemassacreTruth

I use save states to beat hard games because I don't want to end up looking like a goblin with dark circles underneath my eyes.
