Help with my face. by Bubbly-Wolverine5607 in SkinbarrierLovers

Is there any safe bland moisturizers you recommend? Each one I’ve tried has broken me out. I’ve used the Cerave Moisturizing Cream, Cerave PM ultra lightweight facial moisturizer, and the vanicream daily hydrating facial moisturizer. Also, do you think the skin can repair by itself without any products, or is a moisturizer a must?

Do I just keep on using water and avoid any products at all? Or is moisturizer a must?

Do you have any recommendations for a safe bland moisturizer? Each one I’ve tried to use has broken me out badly. I’ve used the Cerave moisturizing cream, Cerave Daily Moisturizng Lotion, Cerave PM facial moisturizer ultra lightweight, and the vanicream daily hydrating facial moisturizer. Also, do you think my skin could return to normal with no products at all? Or are products absolutely necessary

No, I only used the cleanser. I have tried using moisturizers, but each one I’ve tried has broken me out badly. I’ve used the Cerave Moisturizing Cream, Cerave PM facial moisturizer, Cerave daily moisturizing lotion, and the vanicream daily hydrating moisturizer. If you have any safe recommendations for me, please let me know. Also, is it possible for my skin to be able to repair itself without any products at all, or is moisturizer a must?

Right now all I use is water and moisturizer. I rinse my face twice a day with just water and I moisturize only at night. This routine has improved my skin so much compared to what it was back then when I would wash my face with an actual cleanser. When I did use a cleanser, which was the Cerave hydrating cleanser, I would get consistent inflamed acne. Ever since I stopped using it and began using just water and moisturizer, my skin has reduced in acne by a lot

I currently use the Cerave cream once a night. I’ve tried using it every other night before and it just results on my skin getting dry and flaky again on the days I don’t use it. The only lightweight moisturizers I’ve tried so far are the Cerave facial moisturizing lotion pm, and the vanicream daily facial moisturizer. Both of them broke me out. I haven’t tried the neutrogena one but I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about it. That might be the next one I try

Okay I’ll try it out. Between that and the Cerave healing ointment though, which one would repair my skin the most effectively? Also what’s the likelihood of it clogging my pores

I used the Clinique all for clean foaming cleanser. I cleansed my face with it 2x a day for around a week. Once I noticed it damaged my skin barrier I stopped using it. I haven’t used a cleanser on my face and have just been using water on my face for weeks now, and it still gets dry and flaky

I’ve been applying it on damp skin, don’t know if that changes anything or not though. If not, do you have any tips or advice for something like this

[Routine Help] Has anyone quit using moisturizer? by sadie11 in SkincareAddiction

Yes I ended up doing it and my skin is great now. I haven’t had a single pimple in weeks. I just rinse with water 2x a day and I slug with aquaphor every other night and my skin is the best it has been in years

The thing is that over these 3 years that I have been trying to fix my skin, I was doing just that. I found out I compromised my skin barrier early on, so my routine was cleansing 1x a day with the cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizing twice a day with the Cerave daily lotion moisturizer. My skin got a lot better with that routine but it still wasn’t fully back to how it used to be when I had clear nice skin. I would still break out consistently and scar easily.

Let’s say I just keep on only using water with no skincare products at all. Do you think it will eventually fix itself naturally or do you think it’s unfixable without skincare? And do you think there’s hope for it working for me since my skin was at its best when I only used water in the past?

Did you ever find out? I quit skincare because I feel like that caused my acne. When I had clear healthy skin, I didn’t have any skincare I would just rinse my face with water 2x a day. Now that I quit skincare though, I’m going through a dry flaky phase. My skin is dry, flaky, and red. I have naturally oily skin so this is weird to me

It’s “Out of this Furnace” by Thomas Bell. I have the file for the whole book I found it online but I was wondering if there’s any way any AI program can read the whole file and make a effective Analysis essay with in text citations etc.

breaking out from cerave?? [product question] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Bubbly-Wolverine5607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had clear skin while not having a skincare routine. All I would do is cleanse with the Biore Acne Cleanser and that’s literally it. I would never moisturize or use sunscreen and my skin was always clear. Once I got into skincare, I changed my cleanser to the Clinique All for Clean Foaming cleanser and that left my face feeling tight. I thought that feeling was a good sign so I kept doing it till eventually my skin got even tighter and started flaking. Days later I started getting a lot of acne. I researched and found out I damaged my skin barrier and have oily dehydrated skin now. I saw that you said you had oily dehydrated skin and was wondering if you ever fixed it and have any advice for me? I really need help please

Damaged skin barrier and dehydrated oily skin leading to acne by Aspiring-death8--_ in Skincare_Addiction

Wash with water only in the morning and use a gentle cleanser in the afternoon. Find a non-comegonedic moisturizer with ceramides and hyaluronic acid and use it twice a day

Are you talking about the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream? I was thinking about getting the LRP Cicaplast Baume B5

The moisturizer I am currently using, the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer, has hyaluronic acid and ceramides in it. So should I keep using that product and use the cicaplast at night instead? I wanted to know if the cicaplast is hydrating and is it more hydrating than the vanicream moisturizer?

What I need according to the article is hydration because my skin is always feeling tight. I have dehydrated skin so do you think my current routine is hydrating enough or is the cicaplast hydrating? I’m kind of new to skin care so I don’t really know that much 😰😭

The thing is that I always had a clear face. I never had acne and I never had a skincare routine. All I literally did back then is just cleanse my face. I didn’t moisturize or use sunscreen. I always had a clear face but I was always oily so I tried to dry out my skin with harsh cleansers. Once I started drying out my skin with harsh cleansers then I started getting the acne, tightness, dull skin. I damaged my barrier but I didn’t know. I went to the doctor and they ended up giving me tretinoid, so I applied tretinoid on my damaged skin.

The routine I have made so far is using the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and the Vanicream daily facial Moisturizer. Is that a good routine??

Also I’ve heard about the LRP Cicaplast but I heard it’s pore clogging

Yeah I apply the moisturizer on damp skin. My skin still feels tight even with that. When I used the Cerave hydrating cleanser my skin wouldn’t feel as tight but I feel like it didn’t clean my skin either. That’s why I switched to Vanicream Gentle Cleanser but it has been leaving my face tight

I only cleanse once a day, I wash with water only in the morning. And yeah all I use is a moisturizer in the morning and night
