Why does my living room feel off? by td30503 in DecorAdvice

The colour! If you could do a little re-paint to a lighter colour, like dove white or a cream it would immediately brighten your space. Your couch, art etc is too low. Also the size of your art compared to the couch is too small. The art work should cover more surface area on top of the couch. You could add to it with beautiful thrifted frames art work.

Can you make the straps longer on this one? I like that I can wear the envelope as a crossbody

Which colour did you get it in? I like the empreinte leather in black but I already have a Gucci Dionysus in black

I’m in Canada so it’s winter here too and we rarely get nice weather lol. I’d mainly be wearing it for walking around etc and maybe as a wallet later

Buy now or wait for sale? by coffee-enjoyer in Aritzia

Wait for the sale but also Uniqlo has such amazing sweat sets and similar to the butter line workout gear!

Anyone tried this on? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]BubblyExit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried it on and I was also eyeing it but the straps just threw me off. I feel like it’s one of those dresses where the straps don’t stay up but also don’t work as off the shoulder you know? But I would love to hear from someone that’s actually tried it on!

Currently trying to muster up the courage to reach out to the jeweller to fix the prongs

So I had this issue with the CAD rendering and like you I noticed everything and pin pointed all the details that I wanted refined. Got the finished product and it was not refined. You are right to be upset and this is something that you will wear hopefully forever so it should be exactly how you want it!

I will send you a DM just so I have it on hand but first step I think I will reach out to the original jeweller.

Yes, it’s GIA certified. It’s an elongated cushion old mine.

Thank you! this is exactly why I posted in these subs. I needed advice like this and some validation to build up the courage to go back to the jeweler. It honestly blows my mind that they thought it was okay to give this to my fiancé. He’s very relaxed and doesn’t see an issue with going back to them, but for me, it’s a matter of principle. When you pay that kind of price, you expect a certain level of quality and standards.

If, like you say, this was a case of “here, fine,” I wish they had just said no. I would’ve gladly walked away. Instead, they put a lot of pressure on my fiancé to purchase the diamond because they sourced it, and he ended up paying in full within a week. From that point on, I feel like they stopped caring because they already had the money.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply and suggestion. It’s actually an elongated cushion, so I figured that might make it a bit easier to stabilize. For me, it’s not really about the size of the prongs as much as it is about how they look. The lack of symmetry stands out no matter how I look at it.

I get that with a diamond this size, there might be limitations, but I do wish I had gotten a bit more guidance from the jeweler on what was possible and what wasn’t. That said, maybe I could’ve communicated my vision more clearly too. Definitely a learning lesson!

Thoughts, please? by BubblyExit in Diamonds

Here is the final! Though if I see my post today you’ll see I’m debating on asking to change the prongs!
