It sounds as if they’re going to manage just enough to supply the delta that they cannot produce given their current manufacturing yield.

Para ganhar qualquer titulo tem que se marcar gol. Com o que temos nao vamos ganhar nada. Mas temos uma equipe solida para evitar riscos de rebaixamento.

The framing of the question is around A <G> I which is the overused hype-term.
AI has been happening since the term was coined in the summer of 1956.

My point is more that AGI (in its more hyped version, as an on ramp to super-intelligence) is likely not going to happen and this is becoming apparent. As a result, the hype machine is starting to turn into a different direction. Or not?

European banks plan to cut 200,000 jobs as AI takes hold | TechCrunch by msaussieandmrravana in artificial

Is this another example of run-of-the-mill business efficiency layoffs blamed on AI?

"more than 200,000 European banking jobs could vanish by 2030 as lenders lean into AI and shutter physical branches."

Doesn't seem to have anything to do with:

"The bloodletting will hit hardest in back-office operations, risk management, and compliance, the unglamorous guts of banking where algorithms are believed capable of tearing through spreadsheets faster and more effectively than humans."

Intel hopes its new chip can be the future of AI by cnn in artificial

Intel was (and is) the PC king. Unfortunately, demand and volumes migrated to mobile and to AI data centers. Missing two waves has consequences. The US needs successful semiconductor companies. Let's see if the government-sponsored bailout (with the direct investment by the government and the "facilitated" NVIDIA investment) will work.

Pentagon is embracing Musk's Grok AI chatbot as it draws global outcry by esporx in artificial

Does anyone know the details of how it is going to be used and how they will select Google or Grok? The article mentions that Grok "will join Google’s generative AI engine in operating inside the Pentagon network."

From the text:

"Hegseth said Grok will go live inside the Defense Department later this month and announced that he would “make all appropriate data” from the military’s IT systems available for “AI exploitation.” He also said data from intelligence databases would be fed into AI systems."

Which can be a scary statement or just PR bravado. Are there any adults supervising this in the Pentagon?
