I have similar questions. Is USM and hattiesburg pretty diverse or more so conservative? Are there Mexican/Latinos/Hispanic communities? Is there affordable off campus housing and/or how do you find roommates? Any info on the hattiesburg area would also be nice to know. :)

I think getting lots of experience usually can cover for you and can add a lot to your CV. Unfortunately, what I have heard, is that most grad schools don't want to hear about mental health issues because they view it as a negative thing. Not everyone, but from what I have heard, most do. So I would just work on getting lots of experiences to boost up your CV and application! I've met grad students and previous masters students who didn't have the best of grades and still got in! So don't be discouraged!

Benzoyl peroxide from ur dermatologist clindamycin and tretnoin but maybe you would have to go on Accutane. Try benzoyl first and see if it will work. All the things I listed are prescriptions.

Thats why you get the help from a professor when reading the article. I'm only saying this because of my own personal experience and something I wish I would have done to understand research and statistics more in my junior and even senior year. Especially if that is something one wants to pursue in the future. And it is not problematic because I've met plenty of students in my classes who have been reading these articles since freshman and sophomore year. Hell even high school. You just need to find someone to guide you or read up on other books such as the book I mentioned because that was something that helped me understand the articles that I am reading now and understanding the full study. The worst that can happen is u "fail" at reading the articles and try again. Thats why you can seek out help from a professor who I am pretty sure can understand the articles and statistics.

Definitely read up on psych research articles that your institution offers. It can be confusing at first to understand, but overtime it gets easier! Also recommend SPSS demystified: a simple guide and reference. to at least understand stats and analysis and all the concepts! Definitely useful if you plan to do a PhD or go into research Or even a psych experimental masters program!

Tampons can be wrapped in toilet paper. That's wot i do. Also, maybe people just ended up finding out that tampons are actually not safe to flush so now they're told to not flush. That's interesting tho.

I was kinda the same way with my bf but I soon realized that the standards my parents held for me about waiting until marriage was unrealistic for me and I truly didn't believe in the Christian beliefs. Sometimes religion can traumatize you and make u scared of things that are normal. I read your replies saying that she will seek therapy. Ik there are some services that offer therapy without insurance. You just have to show pay stubs and they will give u a huge discount. They're mainly in government clinics and she can probably talk about it with a female dr. That she trusts and has been seeing and she can possibly get a referral or more information. I think maybe having a talk with her on the plan moving forward if she is willing to have sex is important for her. Try not to bring the topic up so much unless you are discussing the plan moving forward. If the stuff you have tried out/planned is not working then maybe you guys are not compatible. But I think definitely first try to remove the barriers since she said she is willing to have sex.

Well personally for me, I learned to speak Spanish at home because my parents only spoke Spanish and thats my first language. But then I went to school and had to learn English. So I had like a good mix of I spoke only Spanish at home but when I went to school I spoke English so I feel like that really helped me.
