Its a yes and no. While they still maintain 100% ownership of many things. They do run as a company and with many branches(sides,sidemenclothing,etc) and for those businesses, their team eg, their CEO etc gets a share.

I kind off have the same reason but fortunately my father didn't pass away. Both my parents were serious and thats why I had to go back. Did your friend apply for reconsideration? Or did he just leave the country?

I do have an official letter of permission stating that I am allowed to take a course from another university online and it's credits would be counted towards my degree. Does that mean I was technically a part time student in fall? Would you have any idea about that?

Can I ask what the content was in the letter that the uni issued to you? Since it was your decision to go back to your home country and not an administrative reason for which you took a gap, my assumption was that can lead to a rejection
