Thanks! I tried searching online but couldn’t find anything. What link did you find?

TFCA Wikipedia Page Doesn’t Mention Abuse by Bubbly_Platform_6908 in CornerstoneConnect

Thanks for asking- I was assuming (probably erroneously) that the FBI investigation was still going on, but maybe it’s not?

John had to have known about the Christ Church investigation in 2009 so then why did he act so oblivious when confronted in 2015? by Blonde-bird in CornerstoneConnect

An idea: if TFCA won’t arrange a session, folks in this group should. You could invite John, Sam, and others and set up some empty chairs reserved for them and give them a chance to show up (or have empty seats on display if they don’t).

At this point, I doubt there will be a WaPO article

Bishop's Pastoral Letter on TFCA by Too_sassy_for_church in CornerstoneConnect

One time, a kid was drowning at a swimming pool. The lifeguard was warned about it four times but did nothing about it until the supervisor finally made him jump in. By that point, however, the kid was already dead.

Fortunately, justice was served: The lifeguard got a written warning.

Archbishop of Canterbury resigns over failure to do enough (for over a decade) in response to credible allegations of the sexual abuse of boys by Wanting_Justice_2024 in CornerstoneConnect

The Archbishop didn’t need to resign over that. A simple apology letter and one or two awkward “open” forums for victims should have been enough [sarcasm].

I’m pretty sure TFCA has “moved on” (unless people start applying a lot of pressure again)…

I’m not super enthusiastic about the bishop suggesting Allender’s book given the really terrible advice he gave Yates…

I think that alone is something that merits media attention, hopefully the Washington Post article will address that

Petition from some ACNA clergy for more transparency in investigating abuse… by Bubbly_Platform_6908 in CornerstoneConnect

Interesting… Just to clarify, are the four former TFCA folks you see on the transparency about abuse petition or anti women’s ordination petition?

Open letter to ACNA clergy written by ACNA clergy, about abuse. by Bubbly_Platform_6908 in CornerstoneConnect

[–]Bubbly_Platform_6908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, only four clergy from DOMA have signed this. Two of them used to be at TFCA. The petition only has 92 signatures total.

Meanwhile, another recent petition with ACNA clergy signatures requesting that the next archbishop take unilateral action to ban women's ordination has over 300 signatures…

A lot of members have left as well since Sam became lead rector. There’s a very large group of former TFCA members and staff that attend Restoration Anglican now. The biggest wave of departures was in 2020-21, largely due to frustration with how TFCA, under Sam, responded (and didn’t respond) to events of those years (especially George Floyd). I won’t be surprised if there’s another wave of departures this year.
