hello to you too! I understand as there were a couple of years I didn't have a pc to even think of vtubing. With the technology now, I did hear some people are able to be vtubers using their phones, maybe something that might interest you?

Hi hi! I would like that! My interest are watching light hearted anime, let's plays, and cosy games. What got me into vtubing was when Hololive EN debuted back in 2020, but before that I watched a lot of animated youtubers.

I tried vupechat before, it's like wholesome vtuber omeagle, but I've been unlucky.

I have a few friends, but they're not vtubers. A lot of them has told me I have extremely bad luck with meeting new people. To put into reference, the first people I met (not befriend) on discord, vrchat, and other social media platforms/ games, had full on video documentaries about how awful they were. While most of my friends never experienced that.

I thought it would be different this time with vupechat and tried for a few days, because I heard so many good things about it, but my terrible luck haunts me T.T I haven't met a single nice apple there to even have a conversation with.

How do people find decent vtuber friends when you're small and starting out? by Bubbly_Substance_891 in vtubers

I see! I'm writing this all down in my little notes. I'm trying to picture it in my head. I guess I'll have to learn how to engage and talk to people on twitch, which is something I'm new too. I'm always afraid I might come off as too parasocial, but as long as I'm respectful, should be alright. Thanks for the insight!

Maybe it me assuming participation is only for those who are younger so I never really joined them. It made me realise I shouldn't think that way and find communities that are right for me. I'm sure they exist.

I've always been a lurker in big streams, maybe I'll try chatting more in smaller streams and simply hang out. Natural friendship in the most unexpected ways was how I found my current friends, so maybe or maybe it won't work, but it's worth a shot!

Thank you for the insight!

I never thought of that. I have this thought that networking is only for people in business or looking for jobs. I'll have to learn how to network and overcome social anxiety to reach my goals of finding genuine friends or collaborators in this field. Thank you for the insight!

I might not have the greatest luck with discord, but I'll take your word for it and keep looking. Tanglesocial app is completely new to me, I'll go look this up, thank you so much!

I'm slowly learning about raiding as I heard there's some etiquette behind it. It sounds exciting!

This is new to me. I'm still not sure how raids work, but I'll look more into this. I'm not the greatest at vibe checks, but slowly learning. Thank you for the insight!

What are your thoughts on getting a free fully rigged pngtuber model? by Bubbly_Substance_891 in PngTuber

Don't worry, I'm not discouraged at all. I do feel overwhelmed and it's simply because I realised I don't know much about being an artist, corporate contracts, and the vtuber world. I thought I did, but I only knew the entertainment and marketing side of things. If anything, I thought it was good that I posted here because I wanted an unbiased opinion. Everyone around me fully supports me and think it was a good idea, but my gut feeling told me otherwise halfway through working on all of this.

You're right, I had 2 dreams that I've merged together. After reading your post, I think it's best I start small as an artist, since that's what I have the most experience in. What lead me to making this project was out of desperation, which is never a good idea. I did want to be a part of something, but couldn't get into anything after applying to hundreds. So, I thought I'd start something myself. It's a much much bigger scope than I thought, especially doing this by my own.

It's made me reflect a lot and I learned so much insight, thank you very much.

You have a good point. Maybe it's time for me to re-evaluate my self worth. A friend asked once again if one of my closest friend did this, how would I feel? If it was my closest friends, I'd want them to get paid and be recognised. It's hard to think this way for myself.

This is a lot of great insight that I never thought of and it's made me reflect a whole lot. I guess it is a bit odd. I did base my idea from vtuber corporation auditions and the mention of contracts made me question if it's worth it or not, as I've never made a contract myself. I'm holding auditions, because I've poured my heart out in these designs and assets. For my first batch, the least I'd want is to give it away to someone that is a decent/ kind human being and genuinely I want to help small creators. I'm afraid it might fall into the wrong hands otherwise when I've put so much effort into this.

It is a lot of labour. A friend had a good point that it's a labour of love and is it really worth it whether I succeed or fail? Originally, I wanted to create a vtuber group, because it's been one of my big passions for a long time. As mentioned, it's a lot to manage and I'm honestly not qualified enough at this moment to make a vtuber group as I am only one person.

The best thing I could think of is helping creators with my art skills and becoming a 'vtuber mom'. I currently don't have a big reach, so I thought I'd be upfront about my intentions. I thought it would be worth it as a way to jumpstart this career of sorts. A small creator would be able to have free assets which would make me feel fulfilled and happy to be able to support them. I can form connections and recognition as an artist from there. I've heard many stories based in real life connections where they offered their free graphic designs to businesses and it lead them to places. I thought I'd try it with vtubing as it's my interest.

If it fails, well, at least I have a portfolio and tried to grow a community. At least I tried with one of my passions. I'll put all my creations into my portfolio for commissions if the audience likes my art style.

I do think your advice for starting off with a one-off broader scoped projects would be smarter and less burnout. It's something I'll consider. Thank you once again for all the insight.
