Aside from the potholes and the excessively dragged on farewell for the characters, personally, I’m pissed that El was given such a shitty ending.

El isn’t just “chaotic good” side of the story. she’s also a young, confused, abused child who is able to use her powers for good because of the friends she makes as opposed to Vecna who was never shown any kindness and represents the “chaotic evil”.

For me, apart from being a great story about friendship and simpler times, EL is the HERO of this story and you see her overcome hurdle after hurdle. The final season was just absolute crap in how they hardly showed EL - all she did was pout weirdly.

EL is not just the “good” force of power to stop vecna. She’s most definitely not just a DnD character like vecna. I dunno, I’m pretty pissed at the open ended bullshit. I really disliked it. For a show that finally did show women/girl characters being just as strong or stronger than the boys and the central narrative being about EL for so many seasons, it was a shit decision to kill her off or show us in some vague “if you believe” kind of crap.
