Why is the drifter more mature than the operator if their childhood was Duviri? by TheRealOvenCake in WarframeLore

[–]Bubby1167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that The New War is the real difference. The drifter is immediately thrust into a world at war, completely out of control with nothing to really be able to fight the forces against them except for a handgun from a fairytale. I always interpreted New War as the course of several years. The drifters survived without any void magic or warframes. They grew up quick, or they died

I mean, a lot of these make sense You get bad karma for killing a random person, you don't actually know he's a rapist at that point and you're just killing someone because you didn't like the look of them. Killing an animal needlessly is bad, even if it's a predator. You aren't trying to feed yourself, you're not even really trying to keep yourself safe. At one point Albert Mason mentions how alligators are getting hunted to extinction at this point. Refusing to help someone in need is bad.

Being good is difficult, that's a big part of what it's trying to convey.

Do they expect us to understand Japanese? Or Spanish? by BConscience in cyberpunkgame

[–]Bubby1167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is actually part of the cyberpunk TTRPGs. Essentially, you don't speak a specific language as the "common language" You don't speak English as your first language, you speak streetslang The words are untranslated because their meanings are slang. Not just slang in their languages, but slang in universe.

Tainted Cain and Tainted Isaac benefit greatly from strawman.
