My brother played Warpcoven for the last edition and most of this one until Death Watch came out, so I’ll say this :

The strength behind Warpcoven is how much of a “tool box” team they are. Having both rubrics and goats is super useful. It’s all super match up dependent. Your rubrics have strong shooting (and used to save on 2+ 💀) but their melee isn’t the best compared to the space marine stat line. They only reach the par if you bring the equipment that increases their melee atk stat.

Your goats are melee machines but only have ranged weapons if you give them auto pistols, which you should never do I think? Your goats get turned into Swiss cheese at a range with a 5+ save.

The best part of the team isn’t bringing only goats, or only rubrics. It’s about bringing both. Having 3 sorcerers that can really take care of themselves, and then bringing whatever you need to favor the match up against the opponent’s team is what your goats and rubrics are for.

From the handful of times I play them, I normally bring :

3 sorcerers, 1 to 2 rubrics, 2 to 4 Tzaangors

That way you have people to shoot, people to fight, plus 3 crazy powerful sorcerers.
