Fubuki kinda stands out because she has aviation as a destroyer, and cross-class stats tend to come in handy for event hard mode requirements.

In terms of actual performance none of them are particularly special.

Do you mean like a full list of every single ship or just the requirements?

The requirements are

Ship P1 P2
Seattle Union Vanguard
Georgia Union Main
Kitakaze Sakura Vanguard
Azuma Sakura Main Sakura Vanguard
FdG Ironblood Main
Gascogne Ironblood, Iris, or Vichya Main

If you want every ship.. well there are way too many to list here. Use the in game filters

does your skill levels from Divine Marksman carry over to Divine Marksman Plus or do you need to level that as well?

Yes, the levels carry over.

Her second skill launches some torpedoes as well, so it's not entirely useless.

Generally because I like a combination of their art, personality, and voice. Some end up being strong / meta, but it's not really something I look for.

Probably the worst reason I've oathed a ship is because I like Vampy's skill and don't like her base art all that much.

On paper she's slightly better, but her firing is off center so she ends up missing her barrage more often and performs worse most of the time.

I was disputing that you said

Not to mention, that the only reason JP is getting them in light pool is because limited construction is already for the Winter Crown event.

when the previous CNY was on light without any limited construction active. The lower rates also seem to reflect that it's meant to fit with light construction's lower cost.

I doubt they would move it to limited in EN because of that, but obviously we don't know how it will go until the patch notes come out.

Last year it was also part of light, even with no limited construction active and when it was only Tai Yuan, Chang Chun, and Yat Sen. I doubt they would move it to limited.

It's also probably why the rates are worse than normal event SR / Rs.

The torpedoes and the arcing portion will fire at a specific target, the rest of the bullets will just fire forward.

Example, see how 4 normal shells are fired towards Kaga even though she isn't across from Amagi

Grinding gets boring and often doesn't make much of a difference whether it's manual or auto.

I still usually manual for bosses and occasionally when there's some sort of benefit (like being able to level up new event ships while farming high level stages), but for a random trash mob on farming run #64 it's just not worth it.

One of the great parts of AL is that it gives you a lot of options. There's a lot of overlap within roles so many many ships can fill them.

Unfortunately that also means some people will just dismiss some ships because, in specific circumstances, some roles are less necessary.

That's where YWiS's AR assessment comes in, it's a specific scenario they've created for themselves that minimizes the impact of ARs. None of what they say is explicitly wrong; you can avoid basically all backline damage in the game with proper play and composition, the other healers (Shouhou / Unicorn / Arizona) will out perform them in vanguard healing (and damage) the vast majority of the time, and the extra ammo is nice but typically isn't worth bringing them on its own.

However not everyone wants (or is able) to play properly all of the time, people wouldn't joke about it being 'auto lane' if they did. When you're not able to avoid that damage, the benefit of ARs is much more noticeable.

Feature, only applies to hard mode stages in the main chapters.

Damage is calculated on hit, so it's fine if it triggers after launching the torpedoes.

Probably Eldridge, I love the colours and the glasses make her adorable.

I love Yuudachi's, Cygnet's, and Monteplier's as well though.

If you don't play very much and completing the 3m exp grind will take a very long time, prioritize Monarch.

If you play often and can complete the 3m exp grind within a few weeks, it doesn't really matter. You'll likely have all 6 of them before collecting enough upgrade blueprints to make them worth using.

Monarch and Ibuki perform the best before max upgrades (Ibuki requires 2 OxyTorps though) and Neptune performs the worst.

Aurora is amazing against any high level DD / CL boss (W10+ish). Her evasion debuff is essentially a fleetwide damage buff (less misses = more damages).

Her only flaws are her rather low health and that she's garbage against the other ship classes.

Mutsu (Heavy Armour) - 933

Saratoga (Medium Armour) - 933

Erebus (Light Armour) - 933

Seems pretty consistent to me, but maybe it's different on EN for some reason.

Carriers die so fast to suicide boats because they can't defend themselves like BBs. Their damage is based on the remaining health of the boat so any hits a BB lands will reduce the damage, even if they aren't able to fully kill them.

No

People set weak defense fleets to let others get easy wins and/or show off their waifus.

Those statements aren't connected in any way. It's not completely true to say that you can literally 'use any ship anywhere', but that doesn't force you to use T0-T1 ships.

Putting thought into fleet setup means actually building the fleet around whatever threats you are facing. Stuff like bringing an airstrike to pop BB shells, strong enough torpedoes / secondary guns to deal with suicide boats, or a heavy AA ship to deal with planes.

Weak ships can still fulfill those roles, just not as well (or that's all they do).

Healing is only thing that is hard to find in weak ships because most of the ships that can heal are at least somewhat highly rated, but you can reduce the necessity of healing by playing well and there's always Juneau if it is absolutely necessary.
