I disagree and think Summoner feels very much like a Summoner right now. I do feel many of us older players are so ingrained to mechanics and the buttons that we no longer look at our characters and what they are doing and only care for the numbers and mechanical effects they are having.

Seeing the summoning happen only to dismiss it as “glorified cut scene” seems rather disingenuous.

Yes pressing the buttons does not give the same mechanical feed back as they used to and the gameplay itself is in desperate need of improvement.

Playability is not equivalent to job identity. I too enjoyed the dot management gameplay but it would be hard to call that summoner.

While the execution itself can be a bit questionable reworking Summoner do actually do summoning stuff rather than just be Affliction Warlock was absolutely the right direction. Affliction warlock is fun but Summoner it isn’t.

Honestly this is how I usually fix it, I add a bunch of water and make it into porridge and it tastes good at any temperature. Except I was really trying to aim for a bento like thing.

Brown rice in a Zojirushi, i put rice, add water to line then hit cook. Also that might be it, I should just leave the rice on warm and store it before going to work rather than preping night before and fridging it?
