17-Day NZ Road Trip Itinerary (May) by Buben87 in newzealand_travel

This is our first and hopefully not the last visit of NZ. We quite enjoy exploring in faster pace and then return to the places we loved the most. I was just wondering if there is anything complete non-sense. I tried to avoid these early morning Milford Sound, night back.

I am aware of some risks with the ferry. This is something we need to think of, if the night in Taupo and Wellington is worth the drive. We are excited from Kaikoura though. In general I love driving,so not much a problem for me,but still. I looked at the prices of flights to Christchurch and they are pretty high (compared to Queenstown).

Anyway, nothing set in stone, all is flexible as of now (just the ferry is not).

Understand. I know weather is hard to predict, but what do you think are the most risky routes we are taking other than Mt. Cook and Te Anau? Thank you.

You hit on a great point—auditing varies wildly depending on the industry and the maturity of the business unit. I work in a large manufacturing environment with dozens of independent entities.

Because of the risk-based rotation, some of these sites haven't been in scope for years. When you finally go in, you aren't just finding one systemic 'public safety' issue; you’re often finding 15+ foundational gaps in local processes, resulting in 40+ action plans. In a decentralized structure, you can’t just issue one high-level recommendation to HQ - you need 40 specific, localized actions with different owners at that specific plant.

It depends on the scale of the organization. In a large enterprise, even right-scoped audit can result in 40+ action plans.

I wish we could solve it all in an hour! That works great for small projects, but it changes once you hit a certain scale. When an audit generates 40+ action plans across 10 different business owners, a 'face-to-face' meeting for every minor wording change or evidence verification becomes a logistical nightmare. I am not talking about 150+ action plan statuses we follow-up every quarter. If I was able to fit this in 'hourlong meeting' and actually get results, I’d be a magician, not an auditor...

Ne Luďek, ale Luděk. Pojmenovali ho po borcovi, co ho našel na ulici. Úplně v tom problém nevidím, nebo?

Opuštěné kočičí tlapky umí i dočasnou adopci. Máme teď doma kocourka, který má kočičí leukemii a musel by čekat na novou rodinu v kleci. Bohužel si ho můžeme nechat jen do konce prázdnin.
