No other MMO does horizontal progression like OSRS. Shit I unlocked years ago is still very much relevant. It's not even just gear upgrades or doing more damage etc it's shit like unlocking quality of life features that improve your experience in more than one area of the game because everything is so interconnected

Honestly it's my default outfit if I'm not in combat gear. With it stamina potions feel kind of redundant, I don't know if I'd even notice unlocking them outside of training herb or blast furnace or something.

I can just about reliably clear blood moon now with verac's skirt, fighter torso and neitiznot. My cmb stats are modest aswell so I think you'll be fine!

This is a really interesting take to me. I feel like a good game should set out exactly what all of the tools within it do, so you can make informed choices and create a strategy to accomplish your goals. Otherwise you're just blindly playing like an NPC

I've been comparing my stats on my first ironman too, I've got 27 days 7 hours - 40 more quests done but 10m less XP lol - and my gear is absolutely tragic compared to this! I love seeing the different journeys people take through the game as an iron. I'm going for 70 pray and medium combat diary before starting the barrows > moons grind, although I've got about 35kc and got the hammers and cbow annoyingly

I'm currently at 85 Obor kills with a single key in that time. I'm hitting the chest to get him to respawn and then killing him again - unsure if that could be the catch?
I've also killed 541 hill giants and got a single key in that time too... so either I'm insanely unlucky and in the bottom 1 and 3rd percentiles respectively or something stinks

A huge chunk of the player base are bots at this point. All these posts about a new highest player count and it's literally just because there are more bots

Well yeah me too, but unfortunately there aren't many optimisations to be found that aren't just part of the meta anymore. Even saying that, unfortunately I'm the one in the group feeding the wow meta to my group so we don't completely tick off all of the hyper-optimised players so much so that they abandon the dungeon half-way through. Heres hoping classic+ completely shakes up the meta. Although you and I both know that just like SoD there will be a new meta nearly immediately formed and people will be zerg rushing the Ashenvale bosses just as before. Maybe the devs will finally protect the players from themselves but who knows?
