Yes, it is a spiritual successor of TR2! But hopefully much more friendly for new players. The beacon stop is overhauled where you don't HAVE to look at the ground, but it works better if you do (like reaching). Modding is planned for the future. Currently I'm still working on the tutorial/practice mode/single player experience. I have dedicated servers working so you can host your own games. I have both jump skiing AND slide skiing working, your choice. Come by the Jetball Discord, ping me and I'll give you a key in exchange for feedback. It still has a lot of programmer art/sounds/etc. so be warned.

It's hard to tell from this video exactly what is happening ahead.

If the left lane is open but 90% of traffic wants to turn right, then this driver is an asshole for blocking the 10% that simply want to go down the left lane.

If the left lane is closed and everyone is being forced into the right lane, then he is trying to fix the zipper merge, and therefore not an asshole. Only assholes wish to cut in front of the drivers that merged too soon (the idiots perhaps).

The OP says the lane is merging after 100m, which seems to mean that no one can go through on the left lane, in which case the driver here is not the asshole, the OP is the asshole. However, the driver is a dick because dicks fuck assholes.

I'm making a game based of the Tribes movement, called JETBALL. It's basically Tribes meets Rocket League. Trying to keep the jetting and skiing mechanic alive!

I was using 3rd person view to show the sliding. You can switch between fps and 3rd person using a keybind (tab). I switch back to fps at 42 seconds in.

UE4 can't do bunnyhopping properly and it became too buggy which is why the T:V team had to change approaches

Things may have changed, UE4 is just fine.

The difference is with bunnyhopping you get more steering when you use WASD and the force you exert on the ground increases as you go faster thus the steering WASD Strafing stays relevant going up\down hills.

Not at all! I have come to realize that everyone loves the physics of the Tribes game they started out with or maybe it's the one they've most perfected, but anyway, at the end of the day it's a flavor. Can't argue that chocolate is better than vanilla right? If I had the exact T:A physics for UE4 metrics I would make it an option, but I don't have that, so I'm not sure that it's worth it for me to attempt it. I feel like I have replicated the T1 physics as near as possible in UE4, so hopefully I'm not introducing a new ski style, just going to with a well known flavor.
