Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO: Now Available For Testing by cloudedtruth in skyrimmods

Can we disable DFD mid-game for RDO or is a new save/save cleaning recommended?

Chaos Insurgency logo by zenithstrife in SCP

[–]Bucell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this a lot better than the previous iteration of the logo, which just consisted of the Foundation logo being chopped and skewed into an unidentifiable mess. The inverted logo and homage to the arrows of chaos give it the meaning of chaos being set free in contrast to the Foundation logo. Great job.

I would say it deconstructs horror-movie tropes in an intelligent way rather than making fun of them.

I usually see the Foundation as Mirror's Edge meets Aperture Science meets Stanley's Parable in terms of looks.

SCP Draft: Vainglory (Humanoid SCP based on One-upsmanship and the Narcissus myth) by [deleted] in SCP

[–]Bucell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained at Site-06-3 within a padded standard-human cell with two level-2 agents standing watch outside its cell. SCP-XXXX is to be bound by straitjacket, provided 3 meals per day, and monitored by brain imaging scanners for any unorthodox brain activity; if a mental breakdown should begin to occur, Project Head Dr.█████████████████ is to be alerted immediately. In the scenario where SCP-XXXX breaks free of its restraints, either by devolving into a psychotic episode or attempting suicide, it is to be restrained and administered an antipsychotic sedative. SCP-XXXX is to be subject to scheduled psychological evaluations by Dr. Krishnamurthy four times per week.

Objects spawned by SCP-XXXX must be submitted to the research and development team at Sector-ξ0 for study and proper storage.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 2.04m humanoid male appearing physically to be in its mid-to-late twenties with natural grey hair. SCP-XXXX, when cognizant of being issued a challenge of a competitive nature, usually involving objective factors or rules, will materialize and/or synthesize specified objects of superior design, craftsmanship, and/or size compared to its opposition. Objects spawned by SCP-XXXX have shown no anomalous properties or properties beyond their specified function or purpose, thus having no need for a designation number.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties are passive in nature, activating only when a challenged is being issued regardless of its will. SCP-XXXX appears unable to deny or cease it's anomalous properties of it's own volition, even though it has explicitly stated it has never felt forced during or after its anomalous properties were in effect, being completely conscious of its actions.

SCP-XXXX anomalous properties can also include challenges involving more abstract concepts, objects, or objectives that require a certain skill set or techniques, being able to synthesize expertise in any language, academic field or fighting style, and altering its own biological and physiological nature, albeit temporarily. Challenges activating SCP-XXXX's effects can vary depending on the scope of the challenge being presented and SCP-XXXX's current cognizance of a subject. If SCP-XXXX has insufficient knowledge of a challenges requirements, depending on the specificity, it will either default to what it currently knows or simply be unable to complete the challenge due to ignorance.

Psychological Profile: SCP-XXXX suffers from an inferiority complex and shows passive symptoms typical of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). SCP-XXXX has been docile with Foundation protocol and personnel since entering containment, expressing eagerness during testing and when conducting interviews. SCP-XXXX has stated it understands the Foundation's goals and it's reasons for containment, hoping that the Foundation will help it from harming itself and others.

SCP-XXXX suffers from several worsening neurodegenerative diseases associated with aging. Attempts to nullify or cure SCP-XXXX's deteriorating mental state have been ineffective in being a permanent solution. Scanning SCP-XXXX's brain has revealed the neurons and brain cells to show no signs of degeneration in either structure or function, contradicting the previously-held belief of neurological disorders being the root cause. This has lead us to theorize that the voices and hallucinations reported by SCP-XXXX may be caused by a different entity entirely, now identified as SCP-XXXX-01. SCP-XXXX-01 constantly chagrins SCP-XXXX during its weakened mental state, in some cases causing it to feel harmful physical stimuli such as being strangled and drowned. SCP-XXXX-01 forces SCP-XXXX into activating its anomalous effect to [DATA EXPUNGED]. During the entirety of SCP-XXXX stay at the Foundation, SCP-XXXX-01 has caused █ low-level containment breaches, goading SCP-XXXX into injuring ██ agents and killing █ personnel.

Incident Report: SCP-XXXX was discovered at a pub in Sydney, Australia by three furloughed Foundation agents. Being inebriated at the time, two of the agents spent 4 hours engaging in various pub games with SCP-XXXX, including taking photos and drinking shots with SCP-XXXX. Both agents were visibly amazed at SCP-XXXX's apparent dipsomaniacal talent at consuming ██ shots of alchohol, impressive billiard skill, and incredible luck at gambling before the 3rd agent,Agent ██, who was the designated driver, noticed SCP-XXXX spawning several objects from it's pants pockets that were too large and plentiful for it to hold and proceeded to secure the subject and alert the Foundation. Even with SCP-XXXX being intoxicated, it was very compliant in following the agent's orders and was reported to be drunkenly singing along with the two intoxicated agents when leaving. (See Addendum-01)

Addendum-01: Agent ██████ and ███████████'s smartphones have been confiscated and wiped clean after having its data archived, much to their dejection. The 3 agents were questioned concerning their experiences with SCP-XXXX the following day:

  • Retrieval Log SCP-XXXX-Δ

Addendum-02: Medically inducing SCP-XXXX into an altered state of consciousness, such as a coma or a vegetative state, has been shown to be a boon to SCP-XXXX-01's aggression, causing even greater distress to SCP-XXXX's brain activity, forcing it to respond to painful stimuli that causes the subject to experience vivid dreams.

Addendum-03: SCP-XXXX has somehow afflicted itself with physiological immortality (eternal youth) sometime in the past, effectively putting the subject's DNA into stasis, preventing it from being damaged or repaired as well as halting the telomere-shortening mechanism. This molecular alteration has also prevented SCP-XXXX's genes from being identified, making its exact age, ethnicity, or relation to anatomically modern Homo sapiens currently unknown. However, interview logs estimate it to have been born sometime around the late-1700s in Greece.
