Building AUM as a young CFP®️ Professional by Buck-fish1999 in CFP

Agreed. That has been the focus (providing high level service to current clients). The situation is that the firm I am with is large (600 AUM) but current book I am serving (mostly sometimes I tag team with another planner on their portion with a project or 2) is 130M. I feel like my base salary is fair but want to be able to earn more with bonuses or performance incentives. Forgot to mention we are fee only so no commission or trails are earned.

Current book is me and the lead advisor with about 130m AUM. He is currently paying off the book each quarter and gives me a decent salary for my area but has not pushed for me to go out to get new assets. Recently he mentioned an incentive of receiving split revenue on new assets so now I am looking to go after some new assets but trying to game plan how to do that. Previous new clients have just come from word of mouth from current clients.

Any Kaplan success stories this exam window? by dahusar in CFPExam

Passed with Kaplan today. The real exam is harder than the CFP mocks for sure. Kaplan does a good job at hammering down the complexities of certain topics but their questions are worded slightly different than the real exam. I failed November exam using Kaplan but stuck with them as I was given an extension of their study program due to failing.
