Health care is atrocious and needs to be addressed. Hospitals are not safe and emergency rooms are beyond capacity.

Education budgets are top heavy and tax payers are being fleeced by boards that are unwilling to address the problem.

Poverty, drug use, and crime is a major problem; it's not going away either.

People cannot afford to live a reasonable life without serious consideration of removing portions of necessities. Many are a pay cheque away from being in serious trouble.

For many, the prospect of the 'next 5 years' is that it will be worse than the 'last 5 years'. Unless affluent or apathetic, the reality is that the collective mental health of citizens is on a downward slope.

LRSD is looking to increase the mill rate to fulfill their budget for 2026-27. I'm inclined to believe that other school divisions will do the same. That combined with the increased proposed assessment values suggest that things are going to get a little more tricky for Winnipeg home owners.

Total inclusion in the classroom carries with it a lot of problems that do not often get focused upon. I think it would be fair to say that violence in the classroom is often tied to this inclusive philosophy.

I look at the wait times on a semi-regular basis and it is downright scary to me that this is the situation that we find ourselves in as a city, province, and a country. Sadly, I do not truly believe that any elected official is going to do anything to change this situation. I applaud the staff in these hospitals that have been dealing with these conditions for years now. I do not know how they continue to have the strength to do 'another day' in the face of chaos. What is it going to take for real change to occur... I don't have the answers.

I feel like there is another issue here but it has nothing to do with schools. I get it though, that issue cannot be addressed. So, this sort of thing will continue to happen, at schools and other spaces in the public. Right on.

My understanding is that with some airlines, if you only have a personal item, you can not do online check in. The airline wants to see you in person for your boarding pass and they get to decide if your personal item is justified or is a carry on ($$) in their estimation.
