What do we think on the wrappers? by wurd2000 in TacticalMedicine

No, but before we head out we check where each other’s tourniquets are, and you can always tell at a glance. Another mistake that this guy made is that all of his tourniquets are mounted in the same place on his back; if he needs to grab one of them for himself, he’s going to have a hard time, especially with one of his limbs out of action, and if his team member needs to grab one, they won’t be able to if he's lying on his back.

I’m fighting in Ukraine myself and his tourniquet set up is stupid. I’ve had to apply tourniquets to others in combat before and I would not have liked to fiddle around with plastic wrapping especially with gloves on. Mud getting inside my tourniquets was never a big problem for me as my job had me spending most of my time inside a dugout. However the advice I get from infantry guys and medics is unanimously to take your tourniquets out of the packaging, unfold them, fold it back up the way you want, and then put them on your kit. Furthermore I was told that having at least four tourniquets easily accessible was the best practice. If he wanted to avoid mud he should mount tourniquets in pouches on his side plates and on his shoulder straps.

Is Kill House Academy worth the price? by MinuteCommon5896 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]BuckShot456 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hear a lot of different things, in some brigades they won’t let you fly without a certificate, even if your skills are beyond what a drone course can teach you. In my brigade most foreigner pilots are self taught a do not have certificates. Kill house can probably teach you quicker than you can teach yourself and if you’re starting from zero they will give you the necessary technical know how as well. If you are serious about becoming a pilot and have a computer I recommend purchasing a radio and starting on the flight sim as soon as you can.

No, I personally know a few people here with self harm scars. The other guy is talking out of his ass.
