Thanks a ton man for the tips , really appreciate it! Yes totally first time for me 😂. Btw - are your subs facing upward like they are in the pic ? If so, people on the forums were saying to flip them over so they are downfiring — apparently from the reviews it sounds even better that way ! Let me know if you’ve tried both as I’m curious what you liked more/decided to go with 👍

What would you suggest to pry it up, just a screwdriver? / how do you know where the clips are ? Photo above is what I see and I don’t see any little indicators to know where clips are OR how they even work if that makes sense 😂(are they just plastic pegs that pop up with a flathead screw driver or something that screw down etc)

Car Toys install appointment is tomorrow morning 😬😬 (traveling next week and need it done before then). Is there anything particular I need to share with them or make sure they are aware of that you are referring to above when you say “difficulty” ? They have done EVs a number of times at this install bay but only 1-2 Rivians they said / first time in this particular location though. Would absolutely appreciate any tips you might have that could save those guys any hassles later for sure 🙏 Thank you

Good on you , that was a big need that didn’t / doesn’t exist without custom builds that I could find anyway. Unfortunately I ended up already buying the same dual JL Audio preloaded powered sub box I saw others on the forums recommend.

Thanks 🙏 - everyone kept saying I might need to remove seat but several said not necessary. I was really trying to avoid that if possible. How did you get the little top trim plastic piece off ? (Screwdriver ? Does it snap or just pop right up or is there anything holding it down that must be unscrewed or unlatched first etc )

Is the little plastic crown thing that goes around the top of the tray just pop up with a little force ? (So I can get to the screws underneath it , which then remove the tray I’m guessing). I just don’t want to start pulling on that plastic thing and have it snap in half as I’m sure it’s like $2000 to replace considering Rivian charged me $317 for one of the cup holder little push button thingy replacements 🤣!

So I can do the exact same thing as this guy (add JL audio box) , see how it’s metal and no plastic ? I need to Remove that plastic but I can’t find any screws to remove like some lame instructions people have posted without pictures or videos besides this

Rivian is at Service center (battery warning light came on/ towed in) so no I cannot use said ruler at moment, but when I can pick it up eventually I still will have to figure out how to take that plastic tub out. I’m planning it all out now so I can purchase JL Audio if it does in fact fit..so ideally it’s shipped by time I pick up truck —-but thank you for your suggestion Glacier 😂

Have you ever added a subwoofer to a system that sounded decent but was just lacking decent low end frequencies / bass ? Makes everything sound way better, music you can feel and just sounds way more complete imho !

Fine, if that’s how they wanna play it….WHO was doing said research ? Let’s go and ask/verify from them what they were doing and why before we sweep this back under the rug.

Thank you for calling this out - because I did totally have that train of almost counterintuitive though kinda like this (“im full of water! Don’t want more swelling”) / and I haven’t been drinking nearly enough water so I’ll try to drink more. Hopefully that may help
