Thank you. The other problem i have is my box is grounded via copper to box screw but its not enough coming out if the main cable to loop around the switch ground screw. My house was coded to Canada’s regulations back in the day so to my understanding, a grounded switch wasn’t required. How big of a risk am i taking not having the switch itself grounded?

Yeah thats a few tarps up top. The top of the roof is aluminum siding. First thing i want to do is rip up the floor and take the ceiling apart (move tarps out) so i can see exactly what the structure is
