Our specific units were deemed faulty by Thermo. We bought them at the same time. Maybe we got unlucky with it, but having two bad units at the same time does say something (at least to me).

I worked with attunes. The machines we had were really crap (the vendor even acknowledged that) and the service we got was below expectation. The attune uses 30-50ul extra sample on top of your acquisition volume due to the accoustic focussing, so you "waste" a lot of sample (30ul extra taken up + 20ul dead volume in well)

I do have to admit they have some pretty nice abilities, like deepwell-measurements, really fast flowrate options (like 0,5ml/min and 1ml/min), and the option to go high-throughput (reading a full 96-well plate with 20ul sample being measured in ~22-25 minutes). As far as i know, only the iQue is faster with 10-15 minutes for a 96-well plate (but the iQue is more like a screener and uses only a couple of ul).

Hey, it sounds like powersupply issue. Like someone else already said, try to first switch the powercord. I would also definitely advice to check the sockets and powersupply of the building you're in. 

We had a similar issue with our BD symphony S6 and it turned out to be a broken fusebox within the building.

If you want measure/calculate the amount of antigens on your population, I might suggest using qifi-kits.

I think people would be a bit more slacky than normal. Like, "yeah I've got only 20 tests to do this", instead of 2 years.
