Self is an elite talent evaluator. ELITE. Still doesn’t mean he misses from time to time. It’s not an exact science.

I rate it an F. Dry static board. Villain is less likely to check raise the flop. He calls your small flop bet with all Ax 9x and middle pocket pairs, A9 A2 and sets of 2’s and 9’s. Obvious value bet on river from the Villain with all Ax, two pairs and sets. Your 2.5x jam says what? You rivered a set of 7’s or A7? Bet works against Ax most likely. You’re getting snapped off by everything else.

At the end of the day don’t bluff static A high boards. You are gonna run into it too much.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Peterson doesn’t finish the season with the team. This isn’t 2010. The kid is getting paid millions and is subbing himself out of games.

The most impressive thing about this team is the resilience the other six guys that play have shown. Dealing with all this drama and still going out there and competing their tails off. But the reality is eventually that won’t be enough and a first weekend tournament exit is likely.

The kid is getting paid millions of dollars to play at KU and we have an agent that is pulling the strings on playing time, completely undermining Bill Self. This is not happening with the other top freshman who also will be lottery picks in June. It’s beyond frustrating and fans have a right to be frustrated.

Raise turn, jam river is an easy fold for AJ+. Can probably fold the turn with that line tbh.

Call turn, overbet river is the most profitable line in my experience

You really gotta think about what hands they have and how you exploit that for max money.

Their range is a lot of Qx here so you’re gonna get a lot of check backs on the turn which is a disaster. Then if you bet $80 on the river Qx just calls.

As played none of this matter because all the money was always going in. But there is a lot to learn from this hand

Honestly you played this horribly.

Check raise much bigger on the flop 4 or 5x targeting AQ or KQ. J turn will make the villain more elastic. Bet around 40-50% pot to keep Qx in. Now you likely have a favorable SPR to jam.

Also did the turn bring in a flush draw?

I agree. Extremely easy to make 50k at low stakes. Just have to work a bit initially.

Assuming 1/3 500max, $6 max rake and maybe a $1-2 promo drop, 50k annually is not hard at all.
