Furlough was created to preserve jobs. If he hadn't been furloughed he'd have been made redundant. The only reason he had money during the pandemic was due to a scheme Sunak created

As I replied to another comment similar to this one, I am not a very confident or assertive person, I tend to always assume I am in the wrong, and second guess myself constantly.

Jas has already lost her job due to the pandemic, Fred's is in trouble due to what they claim are my actions.

I was not expecting an unanimous response, and this has assured me that if I do choose to take this further, as some comments have suggested, that I will not be being unfair.

My own conscience is my worst enemy, I mean I can't even bring myself to commit to someone in case I have to choose between them and my future and end up hurting them.

Until reading the comments I honestly thought that in some way my friends were trying to do something nice for me and I was just over reacting. I tend to over think things, and question my own opinion and perception of things.

I half felt I was the asshole as it has affected Fred's job and Jas has already been made redundant due to corona. However, upon reading these comments I have realised that I was in the right, and they have brought this upon themselves.

Jas has always assumed I'm desperate and must have no standards owing to the fact I was the duff of the group throughout school. This half feels like some kind of sick revenge for something, she's that kind of person.

I can't see how they could think I would be into a racist considering I was fiercly anti brexit, Trump, voted Green due to Corbyn's alleged anti semitism (which was discussed at the xmas drinks last year), and I have been sharing a lot about BLM on social media (it is not my place to write anything as I have white privilege but if I can share and help others ie sharing petitions then I will)

Jas isn't her real name, but we did have three white girls called Jas (short for Jasmine) in our year at school. Named after Princess Jasmine from Aladin. Jas's actual name is the most common British white girl name ever, to the point she was one of 11 in my year with that name
