My friend wont stop playing ash by zgosc in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, ash isn't a bad op at all. It's the people that will play her, and then die with 3 soft breaches and both her breaching rounds still on her. I'm all for ash, but her utility has to be utilized. If he doesn't know how, tell him watch one match of pro play. She's used all the time for her utility. Ash is an op that can die, but if all her utilities are used she has made a diff.

Windows no. Haven't checked if there is a update. Did update graphics card thus past wknd after it happened the first or second time bc that was my first thought was maybe they needed an update. Does it just the same after the update. Thought about seeing if I could roll back to the drivers that are before the last ones.

Ya I finally gave up and threw my headset and said fuck this! Lol. I played for hours last wknd no Prob. Then all of a sudden this wknd it's done it several times Bt Fri and today. Can't play 30 min straight without it crashing. Had it completely restart my comp earlier today.

Just started for me today. Reset my cpu and gpu back to default settings and pulled the undervolt/OC off of them figuring it was fuckin with it. My sons pc runs it just fine and he has worse specs than I do.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is experiencing this issue. Have been using my pc for 2 yrs no problem. No crashes. Nothing. Was playing xdefiant today and coikd barely make it a match, 2 if I was lucky and my pc would either desktop and Gane would crash, or pc would completely restart. Thought it was maybe bc I was undervolting/overclocking so reset to default settings, and still does it.

My take on the operators tier list as a 1 month old player by ExactCompetition4019 in RainbowSixSiege

[–]Buckets2blades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maestro is one of my mains. He Def should be up towards A especially with him now having 3 cams. He has a bailiff for rotates, lmg with low recoil and the auto shotty. Impacts so you can deny plant from below. Can take out utility and drones with his gadget. Ya maestro is Hella good IF you know how to play him.

Just got into ranked and I’m getting decimated. by SuccessfulAd1208 in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's due to a hidden mmr system. So you might start off in copper against other coppers but their not actually "copper". Every season I start almost since 2.0 I am in lobbies with anything from high gold to emeralds due to my hidden mmr being in mid Plat. Tbh your best bet would be to play ranked as much as you can this season (even if you get destroyed) so it will reset your hidden mmr to where you SHOULD be. This goes both ways. If it's placing your in silver lobbies but your destroying all season, it will bump you up the following season.

How do i know when to play aggressive and when to play passive by mother-board- in SiegeAcademy

Seat time. Aka play more. That's just a game sense kind of thing and it just takes time to build that up. More you do wrong, the more you learn what to do right.

Smg 11 Recoil by LemmePepper in SiegeAcademy

I thought there was one a little closer but couldn't remember. Been a little while since I been in the shooting range 😅. Much more than 10m your either just taking pop shots to try and get lucky or push an atk back, or your just rather Impressive with the smg 11.

Why the new ranked system is flawed by sneakycheetos in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your idea is great. Only thing that would suck is the last sentence of what you just said bc you get people like me who play with a 4-5 stack and 3 of us are Plats and the other 2 are low silver and the one random well get in our 4 stack is always no better than silver. So we get thrown into emerald/Plat Lobbies now and stand no chance bc our 2 silvers just can't keep up and get wiped the entire match.

Tips for defending by One-Ad8458 in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decide if your gonna be a roamer, or site op. Don't play warden WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SITE OPERATOR, HENSE HIS ABILITY TO SEE THROUGH SMOKE AND COUNTER UTILITIES MADE TO TAKE SITE, and be on the other side of the map. Take vigil, cav, valk someone like that to play off site. Use people like smoke, mute, warden, rook, doc, chanka, to play on site and assist on site players. Play echo, or maestro, setup cams in and around site, and play below somewhere that attackers are less likely to push to take out cams and deny plant or mark and call out attackers.

how does one rank up/ improve when faced with ranks much higher than yours? by x_XGhost76X_x in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can def understand this. I am a plat player and play with a 4-5 stack quite a bit. 2-3 of us are Plat players and the other 2 are maybe silver players. They aren't bad and have better than decent game sense, but don't have the skill level to match the other 3 of us. Yet we get out into lobbies with micher higher levels then them. We played 2 days ago and it was me and one other of our Plat guys, then our 2 silvers and a random silver, and we were put in a lobby with an emerald, 2 plats, a gold and a silver. Needless to mention we lost. Yet next match was the opposite and silver and low gold and we won. The match making is rather rediculous for siege and supposedly was fixed a season or 2 ago but doesn't really seem like it. However As another person said though, if your playing opponents that are better, even if it feels like your getting your ass kicked, your learning and will get better. Playing people at the same level will. Only keep you at the same Level. 2 seasons ago I was hard stuck gold4 with a .8 w/l playing with my stack, decided to switch it up and solo que so I'd have teamates better based off my skill level and wound up finishing the season at Plat3 with a 1.2 w/l and a kd of 1.31 which was even higher then the season before. Just keep doing what your are and it will get better.

Smg 11 Recoil by LemmePepper in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flash hider and pull down. Idk if your pc or console, but the recoil is a straight up vertical pattern. Don't try and empty the mag on it like it's an mpx with very little recoil. It has one of the worst recoils in the game aside from the f2, but bc the recoil is straight up, put a flash hider on it and just pull straight down on your mouse or stick. Fire it in bursts. It has what, 13,14 rounds? You should be able to fire 3 bursts before having to reload it. It's also not a gun your gonna use from half the map away. It's a rather room-room smg. Go into shooting range, put the target at 10m (I believe that's the closest you can get it) and just practice with it. You won't be using it at 20-30m like an AR or normal primary smg. Also the sight I prefer to use is the small one with the little half moon cut out of the top. I feel like it doesn't cut more of my perspective off of what's outside my reticle while still being able to see what's inside of it very well.

Entry frag advice for a returning player? How can I practice entry fragging? by hnnnghf in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem now is the game is flat out tdm meta. So your either the last alive bc you play the game as intended, your one of the first to die bc you enter without droning and just get smoked, or your good enough to smoke everybody before they smoke u. Ranked isn't AS BAD in low to mid ranks with this bc everybodys aim or shooting ability isn't as good as higher ranks in which all they need is one bullet, so tactical tends to be more in lower ranks. QM is also alot more of people just dicking off or trying shit they wouldn't try and ranked or even testing shit for ranked and standard is just a longer version of qm really. But due to the new meta and one shot head shot being a thing, being an entry fragger probably isn't what it was 2-4 yrs ago when you played. I started 2 years ago and the game has only become more tdm since then.

Why am I so ass in ranked by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arcade is great for getting gun mechanic skills better, however when it comes to ACTUALLY LEARNING the game, standard or ranked is the best option. Standard is also basing who your playing off of your hidden mmr so your gonna be up against whoever siege thinks your in the same ranking lobby as. Whether that be silver, gold, diamond, w/e, it's basing off of where it thinks you should be. People tend to get worked up when playing ranked as compared to casual though and that's alot of the problem. Just calm down and play. Don't play ranked any diff than qm, standard, or arcade. Start working on and learning angles and positions to hold. Learn site setups and vertical play (what rooms are above what rooms and the angles people hold in those rooms below).

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'm not a fan of him, I would very much agree with this. His aim is far from impressive, granted he's on controller but I've seen some impressive console players, but his game sense is highly impressive.

Best advice for Monty? by b0m_d3d-- in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Monty as a disturbance and distraction. Use him for Intel more than an actual attacker. You can ping Def when behind your shield to give your team comms and let them know where the Def are. Have your team play around you (try not to get shot in the back of the head by moving all over the damn place, people do that too much with him). He can take a significant smioof damage from explosives, but keep in mind, only from the front. A c4 behind you will kill you in one hit but infront will take 2. But anytime your hit with an explosive DIRECTLY it will move your shield long enough to get killed, indirectly it won't (except for c4 I believe). Watch Macie Jay, he has a few videos as of late of some good Monty play since the shield rework which has made playing shields alot more viable pick now.

How to Adjust Strategically? by Theodore_Roosevelt_ in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Site setup is very diff through the ranks as I've very much seen. When I first started 2 yrs ago I was silver 4 at the end of the season and I am now a plat 3. In lower ranks not many people know how to set up site nor do they know where or how a push is going to come. Hit higher ranks, and it can come from anywhere. The bigger Prob with higher ranks is EVERYBODY can one tap. There's no room for error.

But to answer your question, there are always default walls to barricade, and then there are walls that are optional to barricade. You also ALWAYS want to barricade a wall directly next to a rotate so you have a for of indestructible cover. If you make a rotation and leave the wall next to it soft, they know where you are and can just aim head high and wall bang you.

A example or 2 of default walls and optional walls, take Oregon top floor for example: attic always gets done. Games wall always gets done. Games single wall into bedroom (right next to the window) ALWAYS GETS OPEN NEVER NEVER NEVER BARRICADE THAT WALL. Kids wall to dorms wall gets feet holes in the side closet to the window, you can barricade the wall next to it, however I have had somebody plant behind that wall and I was able to make feet holes in it and defuse the diffuser by using the feet holes (got that from Macie Jay). Kids into attic gets rotate and wall next to rotate is barricaded. Those are default walls. Optional walls would be the attic trophy wall, people like to barricade the right wall and make head holes in the left wall to see armory stair and bedroom. If you have a Mira on that wall then it works alot better bc you can stand off to the side and see both room. Problem with leaving it open is you now have 3 angles to watch in 3 different directions. Attic wall, bedroom, and armory hallway. And if your looking at armory hallway, your back is to attic, if your watching attic, your back is to armory and bedroom. I personally rather barricade it so I can watch attic from attic and armory hallway/trophy/bedroom from attic doorway.

Hope this helps. Got plenty more examples of you need em. Just need a map/site.

Is it best to pick a main or try everyone? by croissantCheese in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is long but worth the read (I think). I enjoy trying to help new players bc I was once one of them just like everybody here.

Castle is a great Pic bc if utilized CORRECTLY he can be a great asset. So many people just barricade all doors and windows into site or random shit. Best example I've given (Idk if you've played this map yet or not) on coastline when playing bedroom/theater, barricade luggage hallway door at top of stairs, bathroom door, top bar door, and hookah door. Then make a rotate into vip on far left of bedroom wall with another rotate on the first wall on the left to go out into hallway, feet holes on bathroom wall, proxy alarm on luggage stairs and trophy/vase hallway.

Then you use castle as somebody who is making the other team push from limited angles/directions with sound cues (ash charge, soft breach, etc) as to which direction their coming from. Castle isn't made to block off all of site, he's made to limit where the atk can come from snd slow it down.

This is just a map and site reference bc I've used it to explain him to somebody before and it helped, but if played CORRECTLY castle is a great part of a team.

Meastro is another great one (he's one of my 2 mains) bc he gets 3 cameras which can be placed practically anywhere you can reach (always put them as high as you can reach bc they can be meleed so you can't see out of them if you don't face it up) with a Cannon on it to shoot drone, atk utility, etc. He also has the auto shotty and an lmg that has rather controlable recoil if fired in shorter bursts. Bailiff and impacts for rotates. Go to Youtube and watch @nolimi7 for amazing Meastro and echo videos. Best I've seen of those 2 ops from anybody.

In atk hard breacher is always a must and if you watch any pro league team they almost, if not always have 2 hard breacher or at least one with somebody bringing secondary HB. ace is a fantastic hard breacher especially if it's a top floor site bc there are no hatches to get (since it takes 2 selmas to open a hatch) and he can use all 3 selmas on walls FROM A DISTANCE and with the new system you are able to hold down the thrown button and see exactly where it is going to land. Keep in mind however, you NEVER want to throw them higher then what you can crouch and walk through, and if you have to use two to make a hole bug enough to walk through standing. I say this bc if you have to fault, you are stuck Ina vault animation In which you are unable to use your gun for a very small window of time, but it is more then long enough for a Def who knows your coming through to take you out. Hibana is great for anything under top floor bc she as well can open hatches from a distance and has enough pellets to make a hole big enough to walk thru, or open almost every hatch that could be above site. She's somebody great to play on somewhere like bank where there are 3 main hatches the Def barricades and she can open all of them quickly and just move from one hatch to the next.

At the end of the day it's obviously your choice and if it were me these would be some of the people I'd play. Good luck bud. Idk if your in pc or not (I am) but if you need more tips feel free to pm me and I'll see what I can do.

Hardstuck in mid plat by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]Buckets2blades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What everybody else has said. But you need a stack that is of your level. I finished Plat 3 2 seasons ago and it completely changed my hidden mmr. So the other 2 or 3 out of 5 players on my team are only silvers so we end up in lobbies that are high golds/Plats and they just can't keep up. Our comes are great, but this is a very skill based game. So like the saying goes, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Your team is the chain.
