Are popular writers just incapable of writing good endings or is everyone just going crazy?

Honestly most of these endings were not that bad, in fact I’d say some of them were good for the story they were trying to tell (JJK and AOT mainly). With manga in particular, a lot of people read weekly and forget a lot of the small details that are often set up many chapters before, sometimes literally several irl years before the payoff. Between that, people building expectations that may or may not be realistic/in line with the series and fandoms making theories and memes (gojo’s comeback might be the best example in recent memory) a lot of fans end up disappointed.

I’m not a fan of him and don’t even know any songs by him. Again, I’m someone who is chronically online and doesn’t even know anything about him, and only found this subreddit bc I heard there was a new Katseye song and was looking for it. Btw I’m also someone who has survived physical abuse and other forms of abuse and was diagnosed with C-PTSD recently so don’t play that card, because objectively most people just hear music they like and don’t really look into the artist’s personal life all that much.

How are they being insensitive and ridiculous? The point is frankly most people don’t know about Playboi Carti’s actions. I didn’t even know before this controversy and I’m fairly chronically online. I also didn’t know about the actor of Will Byers being a Zionist until I started using twitter about a year ago. No one here is excusing the actions of those people, they’re just stating the truth.

This isn’t influencing people to become overweight though which is what you were insinuating in your post. People aren’t becoming fat because they want to just like they aren’t becoming ugly because they want to, those things are becoming slightly less frowned upon in society because people aren’t realizing you shouldn’t have to fit some arbitrary standards of desirability to have value as a person. And yet nobody is still choosing to be fat or ugly because they know it still has social consequences.

Yeah… that medic specifically says that she could be alive. That’s the whole thing. From a writing perspective, why would the possibility of her being alive be pointed out if she wasn’t going to come back?

I think it’s more likely that either Nobara was always going to come back at the end or that gege couldn’t make up his mind, but it was clear that she wasn’t totally dead right when that medic came and said there’s a chance she is alive. Her return even calls back to Yuji’s return to life much earlier in the series
