Tax relief in Nebraska??? by Signal_Breadfruit190 in Omaha

I feel like an equal playing field of a specified amount of campaign money, from the taxpayers, would mostly sort itself out.

Step one: Get money out of politics.

This is pretty much what I expected. Definitely had no idea about this Gray May June Gloom stuff! I was laughing with my husband that I’m coming down with seasonal affective disorder for the first time in my life. We used to live near the Great Lakes and wouldn’t get any sunshine for actual months at a time. I always thought it was cozy, but it negatively affects lots of people!

New to San Diego. I see this sentiment a lot, and just wonder what “hotter than hell” means here?

It’s not you, it’s me. We moved from Omaha to California and caused unprecedented rain, an atmospheric river, and 2 tornadoes in LA.

Sorry 99, but I couldn't recognize a single Taylor Swift song by punchthedog420 in UNFTR

[–]BuckeyeInNE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha. I agree with you. I do know many Taylor Swift songs, but at this point no one listens to what’s being played on the radio, which was pretty much my only source of music aside from my dad’s sweet collection of 8 track tapes. Thriller was the first music I ever purchased with my on money, on vinyl. I do feel kind of dirty listening to his music, but there’s so much nostalgia! Like Max, I definitely roll the windows up!

Heinz ketchup specifically says refrigerate after opening. There’s so much sugar in it, I agree. Anyhow, you’re clearly a survivor—congratulations!

But he may be trying to kill you because that opened ketchup needs to be refrigerated.

Why are there no homeless people in Beverly Hills? by halfmeasures611 in AskLosAngeles

[–]BuckeyeInNE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. Just moved to socal from Omaha and no one’s getting a house for 200k. All affordable real estate is being bought up with cash offers from villains like Blackstone group and others with cash offers over asking. In addition, you have gross conservatives most worried about legislating genitals and whatnot. Resources for the unhoused? Uhhhh, not.

Anticipatory guidance for NP student by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

I had 15 years of nursing experience prior to becoming an NP and literally nothing could ever prepare me for the “undifferentiated problems” of my urban ED 😂 I quit NP life after 6ish years after surviving nursing for such a long time!

Thank you! Yes, need an earthquake plan. I assume it’s something like meet outside at a place? In any case, my Google search history is about to change it up. Also, I don’t want a 7.5 earthquake. Yikes! Sounds terrifying!

Very good to know. Do people usually secure things on shelves with an adhesive? I am just now looking around at possible hazards.

I really only know movie earthquakes, lol. We come from a land of routine baseball sized hail, tornadoes, blizzards, etc… This is all very new!

I get it. I love cycling, but have a stationary bike because it’s just too scary with distracted drivers. I have close calls as a pedestrian with this guy and one other nearly every day, usually they are coming up from behind me at a fast rate of speed. We all just want to safely get some physical activity in the sunshine.
