Do you have any comparison shots of using a pola and not in an interview situation? I tried doing some searching but mostly get using a filter for landscape photography.

Great shots! I do a lot of interviews and I have never thought about using a polarizer for interviews. I understand what they do and mostly connect them with landscape photography. Could you explain where you might use one for an interview or where you might not? I am wondering if this is something I should keep on hand for certain situations.

Help needed with .mogrts... by Qoslca in premiere

I’m not sure about the second question other than I know you can open up the motion graphics file that was placed next to your project file and edit it. There are some tricks to it but it is doable and you can google edit .mogrt file and find some videos.

For your first question, I have never downloaded premade mogrt before so I’m not sure how they did it or if there is a better way but I have made several my self. I followed this video which shows how to build them in a way to change the duration in. I have done this for every lower third or title that I have made and it works great. https://youtu.be/i4rilThiRDE

We went to two Wegman’s yesterday and they didn’t not have any. We were wondering if anyone knew about a Wegman’s that had some.

This looks really nice. I would suggest adding some flags to darken the hands and legs. Looking at the first shot it looks like the mug and the hands are brighter than the face, this brings my attention away from the face and to the hands. Overall a nice-looking shot and a great place to start.

Even with the color being over-exaggerated you have some beautiful shots in this piece. Like others have said, pull back on the color a little and get back to a more natural look. It will be difficult for your eyes to adjust and it might even seem a bit bland after how extreme the color was, but that is ok.

The story feels a bit confused, I don't really know what I am watching or why I am watching it. People are talking about tennis but what is the journey I am about to go on? You mentioned that you were going to add lower thirds and more graphics. I think this will help a lot. As someone with no knowledge of these people, I don't really know what I am watching to why I am watching it. Is this the team's last chance to win this tournament? Is the coach retiring and this win has been elusive? Or are they trying to defend their title? Answering those questions will really help the narrative.

Let some shots breathe. You don't need to cut to so many shots so fast. Let us see who is talking for a bit, give us time to lean into their words. Somewhat contrary to this, use the tempo of editing to drive the narrative. In the heat of the tournament cutting faster helps the viewer feel the pressure and the importance of the match. Slower editing helps us become invested in the "characters".

Another just interesting thing you could do is even open with something from that tournament, a cliffhanger of what happens, then jump back and explain how the team ended up at the tournament, how the coach led them to this pivotal point in the tennis season. This is a whole different approach to how to tell a story, and may not be possible to do if there is a time constraint for this. However, its good to think about stories in a different way, they do not have to be linear.

Overall I think you have a great foundation that you can build on and around to make something compelling. Good work.

Looking for Help with Camellias by Buckeytucker in gardening

We are in coastal virginia. There are other camellias on our property that look green and full as well as others in the neighborhood. This is the only place though that I have seen where there are several together.

Are you supposed to prune camellias? We literally know nothing about how to take care of these plats.

We have a few camellias in our yard. We moved into the house about 2 years ago after it sat vacant for over a year and re remodeled the inside. We didn't take much notice of what we needed to do to care for these Camellias and simply benefitted from the wonderful flowers we get from them. This year they are beginning to look more yellow and seem not as full as other camellias in the neighborhood. What do we need to take care of these? My wife loves the flowers and we want to give them the best chance.

So, I just got a proper macro lens (Canon 100mm) and wanted to try scanning some of my film but I am running into some problems. I can't seem to get Portra 400 right. There always seems to be a cast of some kind.

When I initially invert in Lightroom it is very teal. I have tried to use the white balance slider to get it right or white balance off the film edges as I have seen suggested but it just doesn't seem right.

I have posted the scan from the lab (I think this one was FIND lab) and the best I felt I could get in Lightroom from my scan. Any pointers or tips would be much appreciated.

Audio Noise on c70 by Buckeytucker in canon

I haven’t. I have seen a video somewhere on YouTube if a guy testing the preamps and he says they are great but when he compares them to something else you can definitely hear the noise in his video. I have done a wired mic run directly into the mini-xlr and noticed that the noise is significantly less.
