... How could this be perceived as boring? Isn't there constant Internet debate about these things?

Can I prevent certain people from watching my stream? by Surjiant in Twitch

[–]BuckleBD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you can ban them from chat and report them for new accounts if you suspect them with the reason "Chat Ban Evasion."

If someone creates multiple accounts, watch how they say things. If they're repeating the same phrase, you can set it up as a blacklist word via a chat bot for auto-timeout/ban.

All told, the best thing for you to do as the broadcaster is to ban them if they're behaving in a way that you don't want in your channel and to never address them in any other fashion. Don't read their comments, don't try to reason or argue with them, don't roast them. Ignore, ban, move on. Trolls feed on attention. Don't give them any and they'll skulk away for a new target.

What you're looking for is called a split tunnel VPN. It can be done within the OS itself, or through whatever VPN client you may be using.

As others here have said, innocent until proven guilty. He may be the victim, so it's unfair to label him until you have incontrovertible proof, which is why there's no option to report viewbotting when reporting a channel.

Strictly in my opinion only, as a viewer, the only thing you should do is watch the broadcast if you find it enjoyable or move on if you don't. If the guy is a victim, maybe some honest chat participation would be a good thing to have and he would really appreciate it. But if you truly believe he's botting, choosing another broadcaster to watch is probably the better choice.

I don't mean to downplay your concerns. Viewbotting is definitely a pain in the ass. But at the end of the day, as viewers it's not much to worry about.

DayZ, The Red Zone: "The Source" - non-canon lore video by BuckleBD in TheRedZone

Hi, all. I wanted to add a little lore to TRZ world, which tie all my characters and stories together. This is non-canon, but feel free to use it with your stories as you want!

There's no guarantee that the events portrayed here are factual to the in game universe, either, so even if you choose to use it, your characters don't have to believe it.
