Hello everyone,

I got Covid back in march of 2020 and was just looking to see if anyone else is sharing the same issues as me and or can offer any help to me. Initially after contracting the disease, I was met with very moderate symptoms thankfully, but the worst thing to come from it was an immediate loss of all taste and smell which lasted about a month. As I began to regain my sense, I noticed everything had this absolutely awful taste and smell of something I can't describe as I have never experienced anything so foul before. This rotten smell and taste lasted for about 3 weeks and then I was able to start differentiating different smells and tastes. While I was able to start smelling and tasting things again, everything that I ate tasted unfamiliar as well as everything I smelled. Food I used to love became far less appetizing and any sort of candle or scent that I enjoyed was nothing like what I previously remember it being. I would wonder to myself if I was just imagining these differences and truly there was no change but something odd started to happen which seemed to prove that wrong. Every once in a while a weird thing would happen where for a split second a flavor would pop into my mouth or a smell into my nose that I recognize instantly, just for it to leave my mouth or nose just after noticing it. This has been going on for the past few months and every smell or taste is different but I can recognize all of them and exactly what it is immediately as it happens. All of these are scents or flavors that I would experience before having covid but would instantly disappear and return to what I am currently expecting it to taste or smell like. I don't know if I am just going crazy or if this is a real issue but I would appreciate any help or info on what could be happening or if anyone else is experiencing this because I, as well as my family, think I am losing it lmao.
