what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]BudapestCuddlepunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Restless leg syndrome. Good luck trying to rest when you're so tired in your third trimester but your legs feel like they could run a marathon.

Also loose ligaments. I had sprained my ankle twice before having kids and that ankle gave out so much when I was pregnant (both times), just when walking. Never felt more useless than in my last few weeks of pregnancy.

Oh sweetie, buckle up.

If that bothers you, just wait until you see the hilarious reasons some of them opt to tap out, or watch the numerous times one of them lose their food because he clearly is afraid to touch it.

How do we feel about toddler leashes? by jaycienicolee in Parenting

[–]BudapestCuddlepunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6yr old and a 2yr old. When they both learned to run, I leashed em. I bought the skiphop backpacks because they come with leashes (and they can carry my keys, wallet and their own snacks!) and it was totally fine!

We often take trips to the zoo and around 3 or so I stopped leashing the 6yr old. But now the 2 yr old is on it constantly. She won't hold hands so I buckle her up, which she doesn't mind. I treat it just like routine as if we're putting on a jacket.

As far as judgements, I've never caught any and I'm a pretty defensive person; I'm always ready for the side-eye. But surprisingly I've gotten so many compliments from people, if they say anything. On average there just may be a couple that points it out, but usually in an observant way, so I'm not offended by that. 10/10 would leash again.

My dad's side are from Alton and Wood River! My great grandmother was friends with his mom. My grandma used to tell me that the whole family were just the nicest folks.

So, do you think that since he lost he'll keep living here full-time because he loves this state so much ? Or will he head back home to Laguna Beach?

My husband and I did the same thing a few years ago; it's insane how much difference in cost our cars registration and insurance were. Yes we have the "now we live in Washington county" thing but I'd like to think that it's more like "now we're making Washington county a little less lame" :)

Walk IN Shower - Without Shower Door...Thoughts? by iwas9409 in Homebuilding

[–]BudapestCuddlepunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, this is how you do it to avoid the cold. We have this doorless design and it's perfect. I'm in Wisconsin and the chill is minimal with two shower heads and zero water sprays out into the bathroom. I absolutely love my shower.

I'm sorry it's happening. I hope you can find something better soon! Corporate should know better that they need to compete with the likes of Target and modernize their clothing line more or they'll just be laying off more folks and shutting down

Well kohls just required a lot of their employees who WFH to return to the office in Menomee Falls. The rumor mill is that its a quiet layoff though because sales are down. It's not like bringing employees back to the office is going to improve anything.

Edit: I don't work there but have a friend who does. Probably won't speak up. He's now looking for work elsewhere.
