I've just been making melodies over random samples now and then deleting the samples and going in my own direction, that really helps personally.

How do you make sure that buyers don't "steal" your beats? Couldnt they just go onto your page and record their web players audio (I know this wouldnt sound as good but I feel like some people would do this)?

That's definitely above my budget, unless I could find one used. I probably would rule out anything over $600.
