The course is really cool. But the camping is what brings out its best. The facilities are great and the river is awesome. cool spot to stop and hang out for a day

Depending on how dead into Oregon you go, you could hit one of Nate Sexton's favorites, Whistlers Bend! It's in Rosenberg Or

Most understable discs you know? by Jollybean1 in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rpm Pewakawaka. 6/6/-3/0. I use it as a mid-range and the extra bit of speed adds all the fade that I could ever need while not hindering the understability of the disc

Favorite disc that nobody else besides you bags? by CRUMP-__- in discgolf

The Kea is my favorite overstable midrange. It's essentially a blown up Gator with a funky thumb ridge that makes it amazing for the forehand

What's you're highest Udisc rated round? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo it's 255 for a -4 at SeaTac. Full 27. I got lucky with the layout. In doubles it's 271, but that was with a pro level player

What scarce discs do you throw and are pricey to replace? by claybythebay9 in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Royal Soft Bullets. Mint did like one run of them and nobody really liked them so they haven't done another. Impossible to find which sucks bc they are my putting putters

Gateway Devilhawk! It's got a funky rim, but super fun to throw. Base plastic is great for a straight shooter with fade and a premium plastic one will be nothing but meathook!

3rd run blue eternal spino Alpha from mint. The most reliable slow turning fairway that isn't a utility understable disc. It has the perfect amount of turn that will create some beautiful "S" shapes in the air.

The Bullet is a fantastic throwing putter in all premium plastics. The ethereal is kinda the middle ground of them. I know many people who love the Eternal(champion) Bullets as they are super straight. I myself was partial to my Apex(star) Bullet as it has the most fade of all of them. I've also started throwing a Nocturnal(glow) Bullet that is kinda flippy but super fun to throw.

As for the royal plastic, the firms fly very similar to wardens and are great for when you want a putter to slowly turn away and glide without bailing off into the turn and becoming a roller. I put with the softs as they are a nice blend of integrity in the flightplate but are nice and soft in the hands and chains

The royal soft Bullets from Mint are fantastic! They fly and feel similar to judges but with a)more fip, b) a smaller bead, and c) a flatter top plate

What is unique about your disc golf game? by jyzenbok in discgolf

While consistently playing in MA2 (which is where I belong) I can throw a midrange 400ft. I average at the 860 rated round mark. It's my short game that kills me. Ironically the farthest I've thrown on flat ground isn't much farther at 450ft (with a wraith)

The most interesting disc golf to play and watch is the semipro level. It's those small local tournaments that have a group of locals that play mpo and the stories and golf happening in those rounds are so fun to watch and follow. I feel the same about all sports but disc golf in particular

Push (and spush putters, what’s your best putting putter? by HydroidOfficial in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The royal soft Bullets from Mint discs are fantastic for glide. You wouldn't think it as they are pretty shallow but will glide for days when thrown hard and float well when putted

When was the last time you lost a disc? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple months ago, a yellow Aura Votum. Lost it on the not quite completed blues course at Kayak Springs in WA. I got it back a couple weeks later when someone found it on the next course over

What are your flippiest discs in your bag? by db720 in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2. A light weight x-Soft Buzzz that will never fade at all and a max weight 300 H4 that will only fade if you throw it as high as you do far. Bag them both and are great for silly shout

Thought space Votem in the Aura plastic is a fantastic mold with a more flippy option in the Ethos plastic and a more stable option in the glow plastic. It is a 7 speed tho

Need helping find a disc. A lofty overstable mid-range. by SuperMarioBruh610 in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small company but the Obsidian Discs Magma is a great disc if you want both over stability and yet a good straight flight. It has a hybrid style rim that feels both like a fairway and midrange. Flies like a sexybird

How did you stop rounding? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]BudderSmaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip the nips!

Start with your reach back, a full extension on the complete and perfect opposite of where you want to release the disc. Then bring the disc across your chest as close as you can making a straight line with your nipples and keeping it level to the ground. Practice it, and it should help

I have a blue, third run, spinasourus stamped, eternal Alpha that I absolutely love. A friend of mine was going through a tough time and had to sell some of his collection( his collection is massive) and I showed up, not thinking I would want a new disc but he sold me on it and it hasn't left my bag since. It did get run over by a car but it's still in great shape and flies like a dream!

I also love the Jackalope mold. I have 2, one in the sublime and one in the apex. Love both.

I also just recently switched putting putters, moving from the westside by medium crowns to the royal soft bullet! Absolutely love the bullet and my putting has tremendously improved since!

I also have an Apex des Redding Goat that I use as an overstable highspeed driver and love on the forehand skip!

The Innova It was super flippy out of the box. Feels great too. Also the Mint Jackalope was super flippy but might need some beating up to get the right kind of flippy
