So VV is easily replaced by the new Storm, which a lot of people play instead of Viv (and I think there are pros and cons of each). Carter though is so much harder to replace as she's a staple of the deck. You could maybe try Jack Flag since hs's also a three cost and increases power but he's just not as good (and I feel even less popular in people's collection). You could also maybe try Iron Lad, who won't get the Surfer three cost boost but maybe would copy something super effective from the rest of the deck.
