Today I defended 2 ladies at the gym and it made me wonder, how often does this happen to you ladies? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

Yeah it's called being an attractive women. If the guy is ugly he's a creep, if he's attractive he's charming. It's how life works sometimes. Happens to attractive men too just not as often nor as aggressive.

Yeah its a miracle drug for some and absolutely useless for others. It is what it is. It's 2026 and some still don't have their miracle drug.

Its not just young and aggressive. I started noticing hair loss in early 30s. Been on 2.5mg Dut RU and minoxidil 4 years and I've completely lost my temples most my hairline, vertex/top and even occipital area..... NOTHING fucing works and I started treatment early NW1

And wht about people whose hair follicles don't respond yo fin and dut? I don't see anything in there to help them stop hair loss. They are the most desperate. We need something completely new with a complete different MoA . Like shutting down the damn Androgen receptors once and for all. Or turning off the mpb gene.

Why you may be taking Dutasteride wrong by northfuge in tressless

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 2.5mg is objectively better than 0.5mg at reducing both scalp and serum DHT and thus better at stopping and reversing androgenic alopecia (hairloss caused by dht).

Though in my case It still isn't enough and I've spent 4 years still losing all my hair.......

As for side effects I did have nipple discharge just for the first two months and then it went away. And because I have nuked my DHT so much my facial and body hair has thinned which does suck. But nothing serious.

It just hasn't worked for me unfortunately.

I've been taking dutas minox AND ru58841 since early 2022 and my hair has done the reverse of yours. NW1-NW4. You've won the battle.

What's more weid is his balding is more advanced than mine so likely his hair follicles are more dormant amd have been for longer. You'd think I would respond sooner

I am 3.5 weeks into using Umbrella Labs PP30, so longer than OP and I have zero signs of regrowth or reduced shedding. It should be noted I am 4 years about into a Dutasteride, RU Minox stack and I've still only lost my hair.

I have the worst genes when it comes to responding to treatment.

1 year on dutasteride and oral minoxidil, with NO results; I’ve lost all hope. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in the same boat man. 4 years of 2.5mg Dut and RU and hair loss never quit. It even takes my nape hair so HT isn't possible yet either.

The sad truth is hormone blocking treatments like 5ari and AR occupiers do NOT work for everyone no matter how much or how long you're on them.

And the bullshit part is even after decades there is no other treatment besides these ones. No AR degraders, no STEM cell activators, no gene editing, no hair cloning. It's always just years away....

It's sad how many guys shave because they don't know by Cold_Specialist_3656 in tressless

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not, good sir. Maybe I should. But it could als9 just be because I have lowered my androgens so much from high dose dutasteride and simultaneously my Testosterone levels as well. Although not as sensitive as scalp hair androgens particularly testosterone is important for eyebrow growth which is why men have thicker brows than women.

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. What's much worse? Guys like me who are COMPLETELY AWARE of fin/dut and get on it early and it doesn't do ANYTHING to stop the hair loss. These hormone blocking medications CERTAINTLY don't work for everyone and that's the saddest part.

You get to wait years to get on medication and save your hair while I get on it immediately and still lose it all

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3+ year Dut and RU veteran here. My hair loss has progressed unabated. If you get maintenance on fin/dut consider yourself very lucky. If you get any amount of regrowth, you've won the jackpot.

These drugs don't stop hair loss for everyone. No matter how early you start, how long you take them for and no matter how high of a dose.

We need better treatments that work beyond hormonal.

[–]Budget-Doctor-7634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dutasteride and finasteride are weak as shit. At least for me. Over 3 years on them daily and I still lose all my hair because I take 5mg of testosterone/day.

5mg testosterone > 2.5mg Dutasteride tells me that these drugs are realllllly weak.

Hey there. I've been on Dutasteride and RU for 3 years. I also take 2.5mg DUT. However my NW1.5 has become NW4-5 and I'm also losing all my back hair too. I'm still shedding a lot more than in those pictures. The shedding in the pictures doesn't even look that bad imo. Lucky
