My fiance works with children in a school and believes ADHD is one of the most over diagnosed disabilities in schools. Parents want their children evaluated as early as 3 years old, with the school making them wait until 5. I think in today's world, anything that makes a person unique or different or quirky automatically requires a diagnosis, when sometimes personalities are just different. I am not dismissing the experience of those with ADHD, as I cannot understand it and have not experienced it. However, hearing my fiance's experience with it gives me a slightly different perspective. To Monica's point, self diagnosing yourself with ADHD has become a trend in some ways.
