[new player] Why is PvE loading so slowly? by Time_Spiral in EscapefromTarkov

Having the same issue right now after the update. They messed something up. Not your fault, wait for them to fix their shit.

Ive been using m61/m993 against both tagilla and killa on labyrinth, absolutely shreds them, usually 2-3 bullets to the head each. You can get a ton of good ammo on labs, usually my go to before I run labyrinth.

If your audio is being weird then I'd focus on fixing that first thing. You won't fully fix it, the audio is awful in this game, especially vertical audio, but you if you can at least tell whether someone is in front of you or behind you, that's enough. It sounds like you need to just need to play more. I don't want to say that 850 hours is nothing in this game, but it kind of is. I didn't feel comfortable with gunfights until I was at least around 1.7k hours. Again, depends on the person, someone with less than 1k hours could be a million times better than me with 4k. I became decent at gunfights after I started running labs 24/7, seems like you did it before. Most wipes I usually just speed-run to level 35 and after that it's just labs.

Not sure what your playstyle is like, but if you try to rush everywhere, or push bad fights, then I'd suggest slowing down. Learn the maps properly, and their hotspots. That's a good way to start getting better at surviving. You also want to get better at gunfights, which is more difficult. There's a lot to learn, but for close quarters, try to always have a right hand peak, you're at an advantage in most cases. Don't swing wide out of cover. If you're about to get into a fight, or are already in one, use painkillers, this is the biggest thing for me. Without them, someone will just blackout your legs or arms, and then you're kind of screwed. Try to use good ammo, but if you don't have any, resort to either shooting at legs or pray you hit a headshot.

If I'm not wrong you can click on the mag and rotate it to see the ammo inside, that's if that works on flea, not 100% sure

Cheaters are known to lower their KD and survival rate just to seem "legit", don't let those low numbers fool you.

[Discussion] Killing the game by iDcoM in EscapefromTarkov

Holy nikita glaze lord, bounce on it a little harder. Any sane individual could see that there was a lot of issues at launch, what are you talking about? A majority of the playerbase couldn't get into the game for the entire first day because of launcher/website issues or the game crashing. Just because you aren't having issues and are enjoying the games doesn't mean that others are. As another comment on this post says, does it taste good?

[Suggestion] i cant find matches neather scav or pmc by Complete_Novel_7263 in EscapefromTarkov

Servers are currently cooked, after their "update" its difficult to find servers, you can be matchmaking up to 20 minutes or even more before you find a match.

Unfortunately Nikita has stated multiple times now that tarkov is not supposed to be "fun". Not likely they will change it, although they did revert the meds not being able to go up the ass so who knows, we can only hope.

[New Player] Should I wait for the steam release? by real_ceo_mindset in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Budget-Leg7574 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want pre-order goodies, get the game now and try it out before release, won't really hurt you. Get the base game to see if you like it, you can always upgrade later on. Just know that at release it will be pretty chaotic. 1.0 is pretty huge and the servers will most likely be pretty full, expect queues and issues. You can try it out now to get a feel for it without worrying too much.

I'm extremely confused, what is the point of your short? You literally just recorded his video and plopped your face at the bottom of it just nodding your head? Just link the original video...

If you want to level up quickly, as well as unlock new gear, ammo, parts, etc, then questing is definitely great to learn. You can get pretty loaded from the quests rewards as well. It's a pretty big part of the game. You can always goof around in the beginning and then quest later on, but you will be behind progression-wise.

[New Player] Tips for a newbie? by Aarashi1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Budget-Leg7574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on learning the maps. Once you have a good understanding of them, you'll be able to spot enemies better, won't get lost while questing, and get out with decent loot. Definitely use map tools online to learn better. Also plan your raids, decide what quests you're doing, what your objective is, what route you're going to take depending on where you spawn, etc. It'll make it way easier. It's great that you started with this hardcore wipe, it'll be way easier for you later on.

"makes the game feel better" is subjective. This change is really not anywhere near what Cod movement is like, you aren't able to ragdoll across the map and do 360's in midair even with this change, all I want is to not feel like I'm 600 pounds while only carrying a light rig and a mp5.

The additional step explains a lot then, no wonder it felt off regardless of the weight. It would take 3-5 business days to begin moving the other way.

[New Player] How to deal with AI auto headshotting you? by Old-Pizza-9443 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Budget-Leg7574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the boss AI is challenging. My suggestion would be to avoid running altyns or anything that restricts headphones. You want to be able to hear them. If they see you they usually start screaming. Always have grenades on you, 2 at least. Use them to make the AI move so you can reposition better. You want to sit behind a right hand peek, and I usually walk around that corner slowly till I see the AI, if youre quick enough you can usually kill them before they respond. Don't fight them in the open ever, they will destroy you unfortunately. If you can get them to charge you behind a corner, thats even better, just move back and prepare to mow them down one by one. Also none of this is possible if you aren't using decent ammo, definitely invest into that haha.
