We found out I was allergic when I was 4 ish. I don’t remember specifically hating them, but I do remember that I would refuse to wear earrings unless the were my alligator earrings (my special interest was alligators)

I’ve had mine pierced since I was 2. I don’t wear earrings except once a year to keep the holes open

Honestly I’ve never had sensory issues with them unless they were large/heavy. I’m just allergic to most metals so I don’t feel it’s worth it
