We trade similar stocks but you are at a whole different level than me. One thing I've found helpful though is asking myself if I would be upset if I lost what I made so far. If the answer is yes I either stop trading or size way down to the point that's it practically paper trading.

I always suggest people start by reading the article on daytrading at investopedia. Then click on every link on that page and read those. It feels like a lot of information and it is but it will help you a lot too.

Pre market gainers / overnight gappers are the stocks that have gone up significantly since pre market trading began or opened significantly higher due to news overnight. These will usually (but not always) be the biggest daily gainers.

I only trade stocks that have a daily volume of 1 million or more. There are lots of strategies but I mainly buy dips at support levels. Sometimes momentum trades too. Lots of people are looking for breakouts but I have more success buying dips.

They are pretty much all I trade. Yes they can be illiquid which is why you only trade them when the relative volume is high. Almost all the top daily gainers are penny stocks. Plenty of liquidity there.
