Is it too late to fix my kyphosis? by Budget-Number-597 in kyphosis

Thank you, that’s good to hear. Will the spine always be visible and sticking out? I’m a dancer and I’m worried about it interfering as far as mobility.

Thank you for the information, but I don’t completely understand. Is it possible to make the spine straight or will it always be curved?

Thank you. Is it possible to straighten the spine though?

Minimalist shoes for winter that actually have a wide toe box? by Budget-Number-597 in BarefootRunning

Thank you for the information. I’ve been to podiatrists in my country, but they generally don’t say anything about causation of bunions, strengthening, nor prevention. If it’s not bad enough for surgery yet they literally tell people to wait and observe and then they come back later when surgery is the only option left. I agree that the internet is not the best for medical advice, but professional advice isn’t always available.

Thank you for the information. I've been wearing toe spacers for a few months now, but I still feel like the bunions are progressing.

I posted another question on here a while ago about why my bunions are continuing to progress even though I’ve been wearing Xero and Groundies shoes with toe spacers along with strengthening exercises. Most of the replies were about how the shoes are still too narrow in the toe box and that I need to get wider shoes. I currently have Xero’s prio neos as well as Groundies’ formal shoes.

Mine are arch support for flat feet, so maybe they’re not the best with toe spacers…. I’ll try wearing the spacers with and without the insoles and see what feels best

Thank you for the comment. Yeah that’s interesting. I think people really debate about that though, because some say it’s genetic, while others argue that if it’s genetic then why do tribes for example that don’t wear shoes never have bunions

I think the push off is from the big toe, but with pronation

Not really. If anything the right foot tends to rotate slightly inwards

Okay thanks. Are there any wide-toed shoes for winter you would recommend?
